Abstract: A system and method for advancing sticky media through printers includes one or more feed rollers comprised of a grit roller. The grit roller contacts an adhesive side of liner-less label stock removed from a roll or stack for printing. The grit roller works cooperatively with an opposing, counter-rotating roller to remove the label stock from the roll and feed it to a printer.

Abstract: According to one embodiment, a system for providing error assistance for a device is disclosed. The error assistance is provided to an optical head-mounted display (OHMD) of a user. The system includes a server configured to receive an input, including one or more identifiers for the device, from the OHMD of the user or a mobile device of the user. The identifiers may include at least one of a serial number of the device, an identifier scanned from a tag of the device, and an error code identifying the device error. The server identifies the device and device error based on the identifiers. The server determines instructions for fixing the device error and generates an augmented display to provide on the OHMD of the user. The augmented display includes an image, icon, text, audio, or video, representative of a part of the device or an instruction for repairing the device.

Abstract: According to one embodiment, a system for providing error assistance for a device is disclosed. The error assistance is provided to an optical head-mounted display (OHMD) of a user. The system includes a server configured to receive an input, including one or more identifiers for the device, from the OHMD of the user or a mobile device of the user. The identifiers may include at least one of a serial number of the device, an identifier scanned from a tag of the device, and an error code identifying the device error. The server identifies the device and device error based on the identifiers. The server determines instructions for fixing the device error and generates an augmented display to provide on the OHMD of the user. The augmented display includes an image, icon, text, audio, or video, representative of a part of the device or an instruction for repairing the device.

Abstract: According to one embodiment, a system is configured to provide navigation information to an optical head-mounted display (OHMD) of a user. The system includes a server configured to determine a current location of the user in a building, and to receive a request from a user, where the request relates to a query to find a defined destination in the building. The server determines a destination location within the building corresponding to a location of the defined destination, and generates directions to guide the user to the destination location from the current location. The server generates an augmented display for the OHMD of the user, relating to the generated directions, the destination location or both.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for discriminating bottle types, for stirring the toner, and for detecting the amount of toner remaining in the toner bottle. A toner bottle is adapted to fit the apparatus for discriminating toner bottle types, and a toner bottle is adapted for the apparatus for stirring toner. The genuineness of the toner bottle product is checked by sensing a rib assumed to be formed with a predetermined length on the outer surface of the toner bottle. Toner is stirred by continuously rotating the toner bottle in forward and reverse directions. The toner bottle can be easily rotated in the forward and reverse directions by sensing the rib of the toner bottle by using the sensor. Since the load of rotation of the toner bottle changes in accordance with the amount of remaining toner, the rotational speed of the toner bottle is sensed by using the sensor to check whether toner is close to empty.
