Abstract: A High Frequency ground fault circuit interrupter (HF-GFCI) resistant to high frequency nuisance tripping with end-of-life self-testing is provided. The HF GFCI includes a circuit breaker and a relay circuit for controlling the circuit breaker. The HF-GFCI also includes a fault detecting circuit and latch circuit. Also provided is an isolation circuit for isolating the latch circuit and the fault detecting circuit during self-test; and a self-test circuit for testing the latch circuit and the fault detecting circuit. The HF-GFCI provides an end-of-life circuit for disabling the HF-GFCI if self-test fails.
