Abstract: This invention provides an adhesive tape which can easily be cut in the lateral direction by hand, and a process for preparation thereof. The adhesive tape comprises (1) a fabric base in which the warp and filling are made of thermoplastic yarns, the denier of the warp yarns is lower than that of the filling yarns and the number of warp yarns per inch is larger than the number of filling yarns per inch; (2) a first thermoplastic layer which is laminated on the surface of said fabric base; (3) a second thermoplastic layer which is laminated on at least one of the surfaces (1) and (2); and a pressure-sensitive adhesive which is applied to at least one of the surfaces of (1), (2) and (3).

Abstract: A bag for free flowing powders or granules has a cylindrical body portion of a bag proper, top and bottom end portion which close top and bottom openings of the bag proper, and a cylindrical filling portion formed on the top end portion. Top edges of the cylindrical bag proper are sewn along a line passing through a point of a central axis of the cylindrical filling portion. The above-mentioned bag is made from a sheet-like cloth or a tube fabric.

Abstract: A bag comprising a bag proper, a bottom end piece defining the bottom portion of the bag proper, a top end piece closing the top end portion of the bag proper and an opening formed in the central portion of the top end piece integrally with the bag proper, wherein a pair of left and right projecting portions formed on either side of the opening are sewn together to form a hanging sling. The above mentioned bag is produced by providing a tubular part having an upper portion corresponding to the opening and having symmetric parts located on the left and right sides of said upper portion which form a hanging sling for the bag. A bottom end is then sewn to the bottom edge of the tubular part to form a bottom for the bag, and superimposed edges of the symmetric parts are sewn to form a top end with a cylindrical opening.
