  • Publication number: 20160258111
Abstract: A resin-coated non-woven fabric is provide that may be welded through a high-frequency welder and may be remedied in hardness, and further may have a clear embossed pattern. A resin-coated non-woven fabric of the present invention comprises: a filament non-woven fabric that is of a thermocompression-bondable type, is made of a polyethylene terephthalate and has a weight of 50 to 150 g/m2; and a resin coat layer positioned over one surface of the filament non-woven fabric and having a coating amount of 40 to 150 g/m2 after dried; wherein the resin coat layer contains 10 to 45% by mass of a vinyl chloride unit and 30 to 55% by mass of a (meth)acrylic acid ester unit, and further a surface of the resin coat layer has an embossed pattern.

  • Patent number: 4708891
Abstract: A method for manufacturing polishing cloths of the class to be used with abrasive powders on a lapping machine is disclosed. The method comprises the steps of impregnating a nonwoven fabric sheet with a solution of polyurethane elastomer, wet-coagulating the impregnated sheet, and heating the resulting microporous composite sheet at a temperature higher than the softening point of the polyurethane elastomer under an essentially uncompressed condition.

  • Patent number: 4487642
Abstract: This invention relates to a method of producing a moisture-permeable artificial leather comprising transferring a water-soluble inorganic salt-containing polyurethane layer onto a base fabric and washing the polyurethane layer with water to extract out said water-soluble inorganic salt. A feature of the invention is that the inorganic salt used has a particle diameter range such that at least 90% thereof is not larger than 30 microns.

  • Patent number: 4218505
Abstract: A polyurethane top coating and a porous, polyurethane interposing layer are formed on a release carrier sheet. Split leather hide is bonded onto the porous layer with a compatible adhesive and the release carrier sheet is stripped from the top coat. The resultant laminate has the appearance and other properties of top-grain leather. The interposing porous layer functions as a cushion and prevents uneven deformation of top coat when the laminate is folded or stretched.

  • Patent number: 4174414
Abstract: Synthetic suede leather is produced by casting a mixture containing polyurethane elastomer and a solvent therefor between two sheets of a substrate fabric, immersing the resulting structure in a liquid which is a nonsolvent for polyurethane elastomer but miscible with said solvent, splitting said structure into two sheets at middle of the cast layer before it is fully gelled, and re-immersing the resultant sheets in said nonsolvent to allow complete gelation of said mixture.

  • Patent number: 4073984
Abstract: A lustrous top surface is imparted to artificial leather having a substrate, a flexible thermoplastic layer and a top coating essentially consisting of a thermoplastic resin by contacting the top coating with a mirror-like surface for a short period of time while applying heat to the intersurface therebetween at a temperature of at least about 10.degree. C. but not more than 40.degree. C. lower than the softening point of the resin in the top coating.

  • Patent number: 3939021
Abstract: Artificial leather is produced by applying a dope comprising urethane prepolymers containing terminal isocyanate groups, an amine catalyst and a foam stabilizer onto a releasing carrier sheet, exposing the resulting coating layer to a moisture-containing gas under controlled conditions, laminating the coating layer onto a backing material and stripping off the releasing carrier sheet. The resulting artificial leather has a cellular structure of polyurethane microfoam in adhesion with the backing material and an adhesion strength of 100 to 10,000 g/cm of width.
