Abstract: A centrifugal brake structure of dual bearing type fishing reel has a brake body assembled onto a spool shaft with a plurality of pins onto which corresponding brakes are placed. The brake body includes circumferential recesses, each recess having step portions. A fixing plate for fixing and releasing a brake operation connected to the brake body and having fixing protrusions. A brake stopper and a spring are inserted into the each of the recesses, enabling the brake to be pushed out from a pin only when a fishing line is cast a long distance from the reel and the brake does not interfer when the reel is idly rotated or the line is cast only short distances.
Abstract: A dual-bearing reel having a detachable handle, in which decomposition and assembly thereof is easy without special tools. The dual-bearing reel has a handle including an opening and a threaded bore, the opening having a plurality of diametrically extending slots. A driving shaft has one end threaded into the threaded bore of the handle. The reel includes a nut for maintaining a plurality of washers in a proper position of the driving shaft; a spring inserted into a first threaded portion of the driving shaft, for generating a biasing force; a drag knob having an opening for receiving the nut, a first groove for contacting with a pin, and a second groove for receiving an angled locking ring; and a handle locking plate positioned on the driving shaft and fixed to the drag knob by the biasing force of the spring, the plate having hole for receiving the pin and a spring.
Abstract: A dual-bearing reel has a control knob for adjusting a braking force applied to a spool shaft. The reel includes a spring-biased click pin inside the control knob. The click pin is movably biased against a plate having concave grooves held within the control knob. The plate is arranged to rotate with the control knob. When the control knob is rotated, one end of the click pin strikes the concave grooves, thereby generating a click sound.
Abstract: Disclosed is a dual-bearing reel for fishing including a detachable side cover. The dual-bearing reel comprises a side cover having a disengaging groove and a number of engaging slits; a spool cover engaged to an inner portion of the side cover, the spool cover having a plurality of wedged cam bosses formed radially, a hole for receiving a stopper, a groove for receiving a stopper spring, and a plurality of holes for receiving a screw; a lever engaged to an outer portion of the side cover, the lever having a hole for receiving a stopper, a hole for receiving a screw, a rectangular boss formed on a center thereof, and a stopping boss on an outer periphery; a stopper engaged to the hole of the spool cover, the stopper having a latching boss and a slanted surface; and a push plate engaged to an outer portion of the lever, the plate having an extended hole for receiving a boss of the lever, a plurality of protruded arms threaded with a screw, and a pushing boss pushing a slanted surface of the stopper.
