Abstract: According to one embodiment, a sound absorbing urethane foam is provided. In the sound absorbing urethane foam, a normal incidence sound absorbing coefficient at a time when a diameter is 29 mm and a thickness is 10 mm is 40% or more in an entire range of frequencies of 1000 Hz to 3150 Hz.

Abstract: A method of producing a polyurethane foam for cosmetic application by machine foaming using a polyol component, a polyisocyanate component, a catalyst, a foam stabilizer and an inert gas is disclosed. The polyol component used contains 30 mass % or more of bifunctional polyol with a ratio of primary hydroxyl groups to terminal hydroxyl groups of 70% or more and a number average molecular weight of 1000 to 3000 and has an average ratio of primary hydroxyl groups to terminal hydroxyl groups in the whole polyol component of 50% or more. The polyisocyanate component is used at an isocyanate index ranging from 85 to 130. A supply of the inert gas in terms of a volume at 0° C. and 1 atm is adjusted to two to ten times a total supply of liquid materials of the polyol component, polyisocyanate component, catalyst and foam stabilizer.

Abstract: An open-cell polyisocyanurate foam for fixing and supporting plants, which is prepared from an aromatic isocyanate, a hydroxyl compound having an average number of functional groups of 1.0 or above and an oxyethylene content of 20 wt % or above, an isocyanuration catalyst and a silicone foam stabilizer consisting of a polysiloxyane/polyoxyalkylene copolymer wherein the terminal OH group of the polyether segment is capped with a compound not having any other active hydrogen atom and oxyethylene units are contained in an amount of 30 wt % or above, and which exhibits a density of 8 to 70 kg/m3, an open cell content of 98% or above, a hardness of 0.1 to 2.

Abstract: A seed top of foamed cells is constructed such that a porous sheet having open cells is affixed to one surface of a thin support band extending in a band-like configuration with its widthwise direction being an up-and-down direction, and accommodation recesses for accommodating seedling seeds are provided in the porous sheet. It is possible to reduce the size and weight of the seedling raising sheet used for raising seedlings and to eliminate the need for soil in raising seedling, thereby enabling an industrial mass-production of the seedling raising sheet.
