    Abstract: This invention relates to a method for treating and/or preventing infections caused by Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus aureus in human and non-human animals comprising administering an effective amount of an antimicrobial agent consisting essentially of a soluble extract of tealeaves and/or tea stems of “shan-lin-xi-gao-shan-cha” and/or “bai-hao-wu-long” whose place of origin is Taiwan, wherein the extract is obtained by extraction in hot water.
