Abstract: An airbag apparatus includes an inflator and an airbag. The air bag is accommodated in a housing located in front of a seat arranged in a passenger compartment of a vehicle and configured to be deployed and inflated from the housing toward the seat by an inflating gas supplied from the inflator. The airbag includes at least three regular inflation portions arranged next to one another from the housing toward the seat, an upper connecting inflation portion that connects upper ends of adjacent ones of the regular inflation portions to each other, and a lower connecting inflation portion that connects lower ends of adjacent ones of the regular inflation portions to each other. The upper connecting inflation portion and the lower connecting inflation portion are alternately arranged from the housing toward the seat.

Abstract: An air-conditioning register includes a downstream fin, upstream fins, a coupling rod, a shut-off damper, an operation knob, a transmission shaft, an upstream universal joint, a downstream universal joint, and a transmission mechanism portion. The operation knob includes a rotation member. The upstream universal joint couples an upstream end of the transmission shaft to the shut-off damper. The downstream universal joint couples a downstream end of the transmission shaft to the rotation member. The transmission mechanism portion transmits swinging motion of the transmission shaft caused by sliding of the operation knob to the central upstream fins, and prevents swinging motion of the transmission shaft caused by operation of the operation knob to tilt the downstream fin from being transmitted to the central upstream fins.
Abstract: A cell culture device comprises a cell culture membrane and a substrate fixed to the cell culture membrane. The cell culture membrane is made from a thermosetting resin and has a plurality of pores that are open to at least one surface including a surface on a side that is in contact with the substrate. The substrate is made from a thermoplastic resin. In a contact region between the cell culture membrane and the substrate, part of the substrate is extended to form bulges in the pores of the cell culture membrane that are open in the contact region. This configuration suppresses reduction of the strength of the cell culture membrane and reduction of the flatness of the cell culture membrane (membrane accuracy) in the cell culture device in which the cell culture membrane and the substrate are fixed to each other.

Abstract: A film in which a decorative design layer is formed on a base film is positioned and locked relative to a cavity mold while the mold is open. A pressing portion includes a tip portion made of a soft material. The tip portion pushes the film toward the cavity mold and presses the film against a portion of the molding surface. In this state, vacuum suction causes the film to stick to the molding surface. After that, an article body is molded by injecting molten plastic into the cavity while the mold is clamped. The obtained decorative molded article includes the decorative design layer that decorates the design surface of the article body by causing the decorative design layer of the film to stick to the design surface of the article body.
Abstract: A head-protecting airbag device includes a case which houses an airbag in a folded-up configuration and a mounting bracket which is used to mount an inflator on a vehicle body structure. The case is mounted on a region of the airbag extending from one end of the inflator. The mounting bracket includes an insert region which fits in an assembling opening of the case. The assembling opening includes a receiving region which receives the insert region along an axial direction of the inflator and a limiting plane that is located in a periphery of the receiving region and holds the insert region from rotating in both directions in a circumferential direction of the inflator. The fitting of the insert region and assembling opening suppresses the airbag stored in the case in the folded-up configuration from rotating in a circumferential direction.

A nozzle guide configured to form a nozzle guide path that guides a fueling nozzle is placed inside of a filler neck main body configured to include a fuel passage that introduces a fuel supplied from the fueling nozzle toward a fuel tank. This nozzle guide comprises a first projection for nozzle restriction provided on a nozzle guide end opening portion at an end of the nozzle guide path along a nozzle guide direction and protruded from an end opening circumferential wall of the nozzle guide end opening portion to narrow at least part of a diameter of the nozzle guide path; and a second projection for nozzle restriction provided on a downstream side of the first projection along the nozzle guide direction and protruded from the end opening circumferential wall to narrow at least part of the diameter of the nozzle guide path.
Abstract: An airbag device for a front passenger seat includes an airbag, two inflators each for feeding the airbag with an inflation gas, a case which holds the airbag and inflators, and a retainer which mounts the airbag and inflators on the case. One of the two inflators is a potentially-influential inflator whose inflation gas may influence the other inflator. The retainer includes a holding plate section which is disposed on an inner surface of the airbag, two insert openings for receiving main bodies of the two inflators, and a shielding wall which rises out of a position of the holding plate section between the two insert openings and extends to a vicinity of a height of the top end plane of the main body of the potentially-influential inflator. The shielding wall shields the other inflator from an inflation gas emitted by the potentially-influential inflator.

The heat-resistance increasing fabric sheet is configured to increase the heat resistance of a member subjected to an increase in heat resistance. The heat-resistance increasing fabric sheet includes a base fabric sheet, a heat-resistant layer, and a top coat layer. The base fabric sheet is made of cotton fibers and arranged between the member subjected to an increase in heat resistance and the gas outlet portion. The heat-resistant layer is made of aluminum foil laminated on a surface of the base fabric sheet that faces the gas outlet portion. The top coat layer is made of a plastic film laminated on a surface of the heat-resistant layer that faces the gas outlet portion.
Abstract: An n-side flattening electrode and a p-side flattening electrode are formed apart from each other on a predetermined region on an insulating film. Recesses are formed according to the level difference due to holes on the surfaces of the n-side flattening electrode and the p-side flattening electrode. Subsequently, the surfaces of the n-side flattening electrode and the p-side flattening electrode are ground until the surfaces become flat. After removal of oxide film, an n-side junction electrode and a p-side junction electrode are formed on the n-side flattening electrode and the p-side flattening electrode, respectively. Since the surfaces of the n-side flattening electrode and the p-side flattening electrode are flattened, the surfaces of the n-side junction electrode and the p-side junction electrode become flat so that the thickness is uniform.

A restriction recessed portion for allowing a head of an occupant to enter and to be restricted is formed between the frontal collision restriction face and the oblique collision restriction face. A slip portion having excellent sliding properties compared to those of other regions of the frontal collision restriction face is disposed in a region from a surface side of the frontal collision restriction face to a surface side of an inner wall portion in the restriction recessed portion.
