  • Patent number: 11772544
Abstract: A light distribution control device can perform diffused light distribution control designed to widen an irradiation range of a headlamp of an own vehicle. The light distribution control device is equipped with a recognition unit that recognizes a situation around the own vehicle, and a control unit that performs diffused light distribution control when a curve section in front of the own vehicle in a traveling direction thereof is detected, from a result of recognition by the recognition unit. The control unit controls the headlamp such that a non-required irradiation region where irradiation with light is not required is restrained from being irradiated with light and that a region other than the non-required irradiation region is irradiated with more light, when the non-required irradiation region is detected in the irradiation range of the headlamp in performing diffused light distribution control, from the result of recognition.

  • Patent number: 11776277
Abstract: An apparatus for identifying the state of an object inputs time series images into a first classifier to detect an object region including a predetermined object from each image, determines whether the region of each image is in a mixed state in which the region includes another object other than the object, chronologically inputs characteristics obtained from pixel values of the region of each image into a second classifier having a recursive structure, and applies a recursively used internal state of the second classifier stored in a memory to the second classifier, identifying the state of the object involving time-varying changes in outward appearance. The apparatus rejects the latest internal state when the region of each image is in the mixed state. The apparatus updates the internal state stored in the memory with this latest internal state when the region is not in the mixed state.

  • Patent number: 11773800
Abstract: A controller for a hybrid electric vehicle includes an engine ECU and a HEVECU. The engine ECU executes a partial cylinder fuel cut-off control that stops supply of fuel to one or more cylinders and supplies fuel to the remaining ones of the cylinders. Further, the engine ECU sends control information of the partial cylinder fuel cut-off control to the HEVECU. The HEVECU executes a driving force compensation control so as to compensate for, using driving force of a motor generator, a decrease in driving force of a multi-cylinder engine that results from the execution of the partial cylinder fuel cut-off control. The engine ECU prohibits the execution of the partial cylinder fuel cut-off control when an anomaly possibly occurs in the sending and receiving of the control information of the partial cylinder fuel cut-off control.
