  • Patent number: 11174812
Abstract: A sliding member capable of improving friction characteristics under an environment of a lubricant containing Mo, and a production method therefor, is provided. The sliding member contains a sliding portion formed of a metallic material having a Ti-containing thermally sprayed coating on a surface layer part of the sliding portion. The sliding member slides under the environment of the lubricant containing Mo as an additive, in which active Ti exposed on a surface by sliding accelerates decomposition reaction of the additive contained in the lubricant to form a molybdenum disulfide-containing low-friction coating having low friction on the surface of the sliding portion.

Abstract: A problem is to provide a sliding member capable of easily improving friction characteristics, and a production method therefor. A solution is a sliding member 10, wherein a sliding portion 11 is formed of a metallic material, and the sliding member 10 has, on a surface of the sliding portion 11, a Cr-containing modified layer 12 formed by blasting a shot media containing Cr as a composition. The sliding member 10 slides under an environment of a lubricant containing Mo as an additive, in which active Cr exposed on the surface by sliding accelerates decomposition reaction of the additive contained in the lubricant to form a molybdenum disulfide-containing film having low friction on the surface of the sliding portion 11.

Abstract: Provided is a cast iron material from which excellent friction characteristics can be obtained. Provided is the cast iron material containing C and Fe as a composition, and further containing Cr as the composition in 1.0 to 3.5% in terms of mass %. The cast iron material is used in a sliding component sliding under an environment of lubricating oil to which an additive containing Mo as a constituent element, such as MoDTC, is added. Cr contained in the cast iron material promotes a decomposition reaction of the additive containing Mo added to the lubricating oil to form a film of molybdenum disulfide, the film having low friction. Thus, the fiction can be reduced.

  • Patent number: 8353529
Abstract: The airbag apparatus includes a folded airbag, an inflator and an airbag storage that stores therein the airbag and the inflator. The airbag is inflated by the gas introduced from the inflator in a region between the left seat and the right seat to abut both to a vehicle interior ceiling above the airbag storage and to interior parts of a vehicle interior below the airbag storage. The airbag prevents an occupant sitting in a seat at a side opposite to collision from moving to the collision side.

  • Patent number: 8267424
Abstract: At the inflation thereof, an airbag (10) has a three-dimensional shape composed of a front face (11), a back face (12), left and right side faces (13L, 13R), a ceiling face (14), and a bottom face (15). The front face (11) and the back face (12) have a trapezoidal shape in which the upper bottom is wider than the lower bottom. The upper edge of the front face (11) is formed to be wider than the upper edge of the back face (12). At a side collision, the airbag (10) inflates between seats (20L, 20R) so that the airbag face opposed to an occupant (P) falls to the occupant side. This can allow, when the occupant (P) moves to the collision side, the shoulder of the occupant to strike the airbag while simultaneously or substantially simultaneously allowing the head to strike the airbag. An airbag can be provided that blocks, at a side collision, the move due to the impact of the side collision of the occupant in the lateral direction.
