  • Patent number: 7123043
Abstract: A method and an apparatus for testing a plurality of driver circuits of an AMOLED before OLEDs are implanted are provided. The method and the apparatus select one specific driver circuit to be tested and dispose a conductive board above the array glass of the OLED to form a capacitor. By using the data line, the scan line, and the power line of an AMOLED, the present invention is able to input and retrieve signals from driver circuits for analyzing each of them is normal or not.

  • Patent number: 7122831
Abstract: The present invention provides a method of forming a TFT and a reflective electrode having recesses or projections with reduced manufacturing cost and a reduced number of manufacturing steps, and provides a liquid crystal display device to which the method is applied. A photosensitive film 8 is formed on a metal film 7. Then, remaining portions 81, 82 and 83 are formed from the photosensitive film 8. Then, the metal film 7 is etched by using the remaining portions 81, 82 and 83 as masks. And then, a photosensitive film 9 and a reflective electrode film 10 are formed without removing the remaining portions 81, 82 and 83.

  • Patent number: 7116296
Abstract: A layout method for improving image quality, suitable for use in a display. The display has a plurality of pixels and a plurality of control circuits. The pixels and the control circuits are divided into several sections, each having a plurality of data lines connected to a plurality of image input lines. The layout method is characterized in that between two consecutive sections, the image input line connected to the last data line of the front section is located in proximity of the data line connected to the image input line connected to the first data line of the rear section. Therefore, loads applied to the image input lines of the consecutive sections are not too much different from each other, and the image non-uniformity is thus improved.

  • Patent number: 7115431
Abstract: A method of forming a liquid crystal display device with a pixel TFT, a bottom electrode of pixel capacitor CL, and a storage capacitor Cs in a pixel region, and an n-type TFT and a p-type TFT in a driving circuit region is disclosed. Firstly, a metal layer and an n-type silicon layer are formed on a transparent substrate. Thereafter, a patterning step is performed to define some predefined regions for above devices. After an active layer and a gate oxide layer are formed in order on all patterned surfaces, another patterning step is done to form a first, a second, and a third preserved region, respectively, for a LDD region of the n type TFT, source/drain regions for the p type TFT and a LDD region for pixel TFT and Cs. Thereafter, a photosensitive layer is deposited and patterned to form a reflective bumps region. A metal layer is formed and patterned to form a cover over the reflective bumps region and gate electrodes for aforementioned TFT as well as an upper electrode for Cs.

  • Patent number: 7116295
Abstract: A method and a system for testing a plurality of driver circuits of an AMOLED before OLEDs are formed are provided. Each driver circuit includes a terminal, which is connected to an OLED after the OLED is formed, and is connected to a test element to form an electrical loop during the test. The system selects one specific driver circuit to test. The method and the system measure the value of a current signal flowing through the test element, and then analyze it to determine the status of the driver circuit. The said steps executed repeatedly, all driver circuits of the AMOLED are tested efficiently and precisely.

  • Patent number: 7112458
Abstract: An active layer of a P-type low temperature polysilicon thin film transistor and a bottom electrode of a storage capacitor are first formed. Then, a P-type source/drain is formed and the bottom electrode is doped with dopants. A gate insulator, a gate electrode, a capacitor dielectric, and a top electrode are thereafter formed. Finally, a source interconnect, a drain interconnect, and a pixel electrode of the liquid crystal display are formed.

  • Patent number: 7109652
Abstract: A top emission organic light emitting display with a reflective layer therein is provided. The reflective layer, a first electrode, an organic layer, and a transparent second electrode are subsequently formed on the substrate. When a bias voltage is applied to the first electrode and the transparent second electrode, the organic layer emits radiation. The reflective layer reflects radiation from the organic layer toward the transparent second electrode, and therefore the emission efficiency of the OLED increases.

  • Patent number: 7109960
Abstract: A driving circuit for display and the operating method thereof are provided. The driving circuit uses the data controller with multi-gray scale to make the color driving signal correspond to the related gray of the multi-gray scale, and uses the inverter to output the color output signal to a display to make the color output signal have more levels of color, such that it can achieve the aim of full color. As the invention does not require use of the memory and digital to analog converter, which consume large amounts of power, it can achieve the aim of saving power.
