  • Patent number: 11417169
Abstract: Interactions between a player, an electronic gaming machine being played by the player, and a control system that is interfaced with both the electronic gaming machine and the player's smart device are described. The player registers with the electronic gaming machine and also registers with the control system using an application residing on the player's smart device which establishes the player's identity and physical location as being within the venue containing the electronic gaming machine and/or near the electronic gaming machine. In one embodiment, when both registrations are active, a control command can be sent from the player's smart device that controls an operation of the electronic gaming machine.

  • Patent number: 11024116
Abstract: Dynamic, automatic establishment of social distancing on electronic gaming machines (EGMs). An electronic notice of a game play triggering event that takes place at a first EGM is sent to a control system, and in response to receiving the electronic notice, the control system automatically temporarily deactivates other EGMs that are within a first deactivation zone adjacent to the first EGM. Thereafter, at cessation of game play on the first EGM, the deactivated EGMs are reactivated by the control system. The first EGM may optionally be deactivated to allow the first EGM to be cleaned before the first EGM is activated and made available for additional game play.

  • Publication number: 20110052001
Abstract: A method automatically detects errors in a container inventory database associated with a container inventory tracking system of a container storage facility. A processor in the inventory tracking system performs a method that: obtains a first data record, identifies an event (e.g., pickup, drop-off, or movement) associated with the first record, provides a list of error types based on the identified event, and determines whether a data error has occurred through a checking process. In each of the checking steps, the processor selects an error type from the list of error types, determines a search criterion based on the selected error type and the first data record, queries the database using the search criterion, compares query results with the first data record to detect data conflicts between them, and upon the detection of the data conflicts, reports that a data error of the selected error type has been detected.

  • Patent number: 6880229
Abstract: An electrical machine using a plurality of separate teeth that can be axially inserted into a stator ring or armature after receiving a bobbin or form wound coil. Each tooth contains a primary locating structure and a secondary locating structure which respectively set the radial position and the angular position of the teeth in a stator ring. This construction can also be used with internal motor armatures. The primary and secondary locating structures have a size equal to or smaller than the portion of the tooth that holds the coil. This allows insertion of a pre-wound coil over these features without interference. The use of separate stator or armature teeth that are press fitted into the stator ring or armature allows the use of coil types that could not be inserted into a one piece stator or armature and tooth materials with optimum magnetic properties.

  • Patent number: 6494542
Abstract: A milling apparatus for preparing concrete floor surfaces consists of rear wheel motorized cart connected in tandem to a traction milling machine having a frame mounted drum for milling engagement with the floor and forward and rearward means for vertically adjusting the frame attached forward wheel means and rearward wheel means with reference to the floor. The forward wheel means includes a ski element and the rearward wheel means includes a wheeled dolly arrangement. The tandem connection consists of a specialized horizontally articulated hitch which transfers a portion of the weight of the motorized cart to the rear axle of the traction milling machine. An operator sits on the motorized cart and operates and steers the traction milling machine which includes motor means for powering said cart and the traction machine and steering means.

  • Patent number: 5223844
Abstract: The present invention provides a vehicle tracking and security system which allows immediate response in case of vehicle theft, an accident, vehicle breakdown, or other emergency. Guardian and tracking functions are provided through Mobile Units installed in hidden locations in vehicles to be monitored. The Mobile Units communicate with a Control Center. Preferably, the Mobile Unit provides vehicle theft and intrusion protection using an in-vehicle alarm and security system linked to the Control Center by a transceiver in the Mobile Unit. Also, a keypad or other human interface device is provided, allowing a vehicle driver or occupant to signal the Control Center that a particular type of assistance is needed. The vehicle's location may be automatically transmitted to the Control Center along with any automatic alarm signal or manually entered request, the location being precisely determinable anywhere in the world through use of Global Positioning System (GPS) information.

  • Patent number: 4579619
Abstract: A retreading curing ring is disclosed. The ring includes a body member which defines a circular platform. A plurality of clamps are mounted at circumferentially spaced locations on the body members. The clamps are movable between an open and a closed position. A tire retreading assembly including a tire carcass and new retread tread stock is positioned within a flexible bag or envelope. Guides center the tire with respect to the circular platform. The envelope is sandwiched between the upper surface of the circular platform of the curing ring and the sidewall of the tire. When the clamps are moved to the closed position, an air tight seal is formed.

  • Patent number: 4258958
Abstract: A system for selectively controlling the flow of brake fluid to the brakes of a two or four wheel drive vehicle utilizes a separate solenoid valve on each brake fluid line leading directly to a driven wheel. The valves are normally open, and are operated by primary and secondary electrical switches arranged in series. The primary electrical switch must be physically depressed and held to be activated and the secondary switch which is separately connectible to each solenoid valve, is actuated by the primary switch in such a manner as to separately activate each solenoid valve to control the flow of brake fluid to the brake of each drive wheel.
