Patent number: 11606668Abstract: A system to assist in monitoring and improving services in hotels, motels and other lodging facilities. The system includes a plurality of fixed-location wireless devices that are situated throughout the facility and each service provider or asset to be monitored or tracked is provided with a cooperating mobile wireless device. The mobile devices may periodically transmit beacons that are received by the fixed location devices. The system may determine location based on evaluation of signal strength across a plurality of fixed devices. The system may include premapped calibration data on signal strength to assist in determining location. The location information may help to assess employee performance, to assist in improving performance and to provide improved services. The system may also interact with an application running on a hotel guest's electronic device to allow the system to track guest location. Guest location information can be used to provide improved guest services.Type: GrantFiled: November 9, 2020Date of Patent: March 14, 2023Assignee: Shoreline Tracking Systems, LLCInventors: David W. Baarman, Bruce A. Patterson, Robert J. Zuker, Thomas E. Deater

Patent number: 6726012Abstract: A weather and wear resistant rubber ID unit for a tire with a selected pattern on the ID unit is made by scanning a outer layer of the rubber unit with a laser beam from a high powered CO2 laser operated at a less than full power output, to ablate the outer layer in the form of the selected pattern to expose an inner layer of the unit which has a contrasting color. Loose and residue particles are removing using a vacuum and a cleaning fluid contain alcohol and a surface active agent such as soap. The fluid is rinsed away and the unit is dried for use.Type: GrantFiled: April 25, 2002Date of Patent: April 27, 2004Assignee: Tracking Systems LLCInventors: Thomas M. Bielicki, Mark Stephen Bielicki
