Abstract: A method for detecting attempts to collect parameters used for device fingerprinting includes receiving information traversing a communications network and creating a dataset of examinable information. The dataset is then analyzed using a weighted scoring system to determine the probability that parameters present are intended for purposes of device fingerprinting and a score reflecting the same is returned.
Abstract: A method for obfuscating the properties of a web browser includes identifying an active web browser and generating random assortments of properties compatible with the web browser. The generated random properties are then integrated with the true properties of the web browser to provide an obfuscated property set that, on request by a web server, may be communicated to the web server.
