  • Patent number: 6578725
Abstract: A lid that creates a seal around a container to allow proper storage and reduce spoil time of the contents. Integrally formed with the lid is a scoop extending into the can so that the contents may be removed without soiling another utensil. The lid is adapted to securely attach to a container opening. The scoop portion has a finger-receiving cavity to allow for simplified operator use. The finger-receiving scoop extends from the underside of the lid into the container. The scoop is nearly the length of the container and is used to assist an individual to remove the contents of the container. Once finished, the individual may seal the container with the lid until further use is desired, preventing the spoiling of the remaining food inside.

  • Patent number: 6481607
Abstract: A dispenser for a roll of tape that is suitable for dispensing material such as transparent pressure-sensitive adhesive, and method for making thereof are disclosed. The dispenser includes a single-piece housing comprising a first side wall and a second side wall extended from a central wall substantially parallel to each other. Each of the side walls is provided with roll mounting flaps cut out of the side walls opposite to each other and folded inwardly therefrom. The mounting flaps are axially aligned with each other and are adapted for rotatably supporting the tape roll within the frame. The housing is made of any appropriate stiff, but foldable material, such as a sheet of plastic or metal. The two side walls of the housing are retained in a substantially parallel position by a retaining member extending between the side walls within the core of the tape roll. A serrated cutting edge may be provided on an outer edge of the central wall.

  • Patent number: 5871142
Abstract: A container assembly having at least two uniquely-shaped, foldable blanks that can be stored, packaged and transported in substantially flat condition. Each of the flat foldable blanks are easily folded to form a pocket capable of containing papers or other small office supplies. The two pockets are hingedly attached to one another to form a container resembling a briefcase. Preferably, the hinges are formed of a substantially flat resilient material having locking tabs which may be folded and inserted into slots of each of the two pockets and retained by each pocket. The two pockets then being hingedly attached to one another. One pocket may be formed with a cover flap having a clasp to cover both of the pockets and facilitate securement of the two pockets in a closed position.
