    Abstract: A single use disposable medical syringe with the plunger shaft having first and second splines. The first spling co-acts with a first pawl to allow withdrawal only of the plunger. The plunger is then rotated to another position, wherein the second spline co-acts with a second pawl to permit insertion only of the plunger. The plunger may not then be withdrawn for re-use.
