Abstract: A method, apparatus, media and signals for generating a computer representation of a three-dimensional swept envelope of a vehicle having a wheeled chassis operable to support a vehicle body for movement along a terrain is disclosed. The method involves receiving terrain data representing a 3D terrain, receiving data defining parameters of the vehicle, and receiving data defining a path for movement of the vehicle from an initial position on the terrain to a displaced position on the terrain. The method also involves disposing a computer representation of the vehicle on the 3D representation of the terrain at successive locations along the path using the parameters. Disposing involves determining points of engagement between wheels of the wheeled chassis and the 3D representation of the terrain to dispose the chassis with respect to the terrain, and determining a corresponding 3D location of the vehicle body with respect to the terrain.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a system of managing resources in virtualized environment, including OSS and its associated NMS and EMS, service delivery platform, master, slave, network switches and shared storage devices. Virtual machines run on the slave. Service delivery platform is connected to the OSS, and sends a request to master for resources. Master is connected to network switch and slaves, and controls slaves and virtual machines running on slave. Slave is connected to network switch, shared storage device and TMN. Shared storage device is connected to network switch, slave and master. The disclosed invention can efficiently and reliably manage physical device resources (including servers, storage, network equipment, etc.) and virtual device resources (including virtual machines, virtual storage, virtual switches, etc.) centrally, and implements transaction-level management of all kinds of resources in virtualized environment through a distributed transaction processing method.
Abstract: The invention discloses the architecture of client-side virtualization, utilizing the techniques of differential bi-directional synchronization of layered data and closed computing, as an extension to virtual desktop infrastructure. Both the client and server run a virtual machine monitor on top of which user application data, system data, personal application, group application, and guest operating system are layered independently. Layer independence is achieved by system data redirection, cache acceleration, and application composing/decomposing method. The client can be securely protected via the push-OS concept, security links, and closed computing services, including virtual machine subscription management control and network resource control services.
Abstract: A method and apparatus for generating a geometric layout of a traffic intersection is disclosed. The method involves receiving intersection capacity data, where receiving includes receiving an identification of a number of intersection legs associated with the traffic intersection, receiving a lane designation designating a plurality of lanes for accommodating permitted vehicle movements between the intersection legs, each lane having at least one associated permitted vehicle movement, and receiving lane width dimensions for accommodating an expected vehicular traffic volume associated with permitted vehicle movements on each of the plurality of lanes. The method also involves generating a geometric layout of the traffic intersection by receiving orientation data defining respective orientations of each of the intersection legs.
