  • Publication number: 20170121934
Abstract: Implementations of the accessory and associated methods allow for excavation of a ditch, wherein rotating grating means are used for expelling rubble and form a ditch. The accessory includes grating means which are moved with respect to the ditch to ensure contacting of the grating means with the road and alignment of a rotation axis of the grating means with the ditch axis. The ditch is progressively excavated when the grating means are rotated and displaced along the ditch axis. The grating means may be connectable to a mobile device through an arm assembly configured to controllably move the grating means from the mobile device. The accessory may be used for connection to a mining device for excavating the ditch along the road of an underground mining tunnel.

  • Publication number: 20150027279
Abstract: A tension-adjusting tool includes a L-shaped rod composed of two segments. One segment is removably attached to a rocker on which the tensioning pulley of a diesel engine of a truck is mounted while the other segment has a tubular component in which a handle is removably accommodated. The handle has an upper portion which extends above the engine and which can be manipulated to activate the L-shaped rod in order to cause the rocker to pivot with resulting change in the pressure applied by the tensioning pulley.

  • Patent number: 8544867
Abstract: An apparatus and method is described for offsetting a lifting or lowering weight of a tow bar attached to a trailer. The apparatus includes nitrogen accumulators coupled in series to a hydraulic cylinder. The accumulators include volumes of hydraulic fluid and a gas, such as nitrogen, which are preset to have differing nitrogen pressures to accommodate a full range of motion. After initial system pressurization, no separate power source is needed to provide hydraulic support at static conditions, oscillation of the tow bar below horizontal, and lift support from horizontal to a positive angle, allowing the user to lift and position a heavy tow bar several feet with minor user force.

  • Patent number: 8256399
Abstract: An automatic management and control system for controlling a transport motored vehicle engine idle conditions, operation of vehicle accessories and engine controls when the vehicle is at a rest condition. This system has a controlled unit with a programmable computer having a memory for storing instructions for execution of an interactive management control program by the control unit. The control unit is conditioned by the operator of the vehicle to operate in a cabin heating mode or a cabin air-conditioning mode. The control unit is also conditioned by the control program to enable a defeat protection circuit to control a fast idle switch function in the cabin to prevent a vehicle operator person to attempt to override a idle shut-down mode of the control module when enabled for a set time period whereby to ensure autonomous automatic engine control by the control unit when the vehicle is in the rest condition with the control unit enabled to thereby optimize fuel efficiency.

  • Publication number: 20090299209
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a method of detecting a microsleep event in a subject. The method includes determining a number of eye openness factors by measuring a number of distances between an upper eyelid and a lower eyelid of at least one eye over a time period. Graphical representations of the eye openness factors are then generated. Changes in the eye openness factors over the time period are correlated with a reference eye closure pattern indicative of the microsleep event. Also disclosed is a microsleep event detection device.

  • Patent number: 6688818
Abstract: A collapsible assembly for loading and transporting vehicles in a cargo container having a roof, a floor, two elongate side walls, and front and rear walls, includes two pairs of spaced vertical posts, one pair being at the front end of the frame and another pair being at the rear end. Front and rear horizontally mounted crossbars support two ramps for carrying a vehicle when the assembly is in its open position. Each crossbar has two members of equal length rotatably and slideably attached to the posts and connected together by a hinge that allows each crossbar to be folded in half interiorly of the frame thus pulling the posts together in a collapsed closed position for storage purposes.
