  • Patent number: 9046377
Abstract: A method and system for generating fixed transit routes is provided. A first set of street network segments within a first threshold distance from a starting point is identified for a pattern inputted by a user. A proxy first point along each of the street network segments in the first set is also identified. A second set of street network segments within a second threshold distance from an ending point is identified for the pattern inputted by the user. A proxy second point along each of the street network segments in the second set is also identified. A best path for the pattern is determined including any one of the proxy first points along the street network segments in the first set and any one of the proxy second points along the street network segments in the second set.

  • Patent number: 8781726
Abstract: A method and system for adjusting a demand-response transit schedule is provided. A demand-response transit schedule is reviewed during performance of the demand-response transit schedule. The fact that the demand-response transit schedule may need to be adjusted is detected. The demand-response transit schedule is then adjusted.

  • Patent number: 8600929
Abstract: A method and computer system for aggregating data from a plurality of operational databases are provided. It is determined if a transformation script stored in storage of a computer system has been modified. Delta data extracted from said operational databases and specified by the transformation script is automatically merged and transformed if the transformation script is unmodified. All data extracted from said operational databases and specified by the transformation script is automatically merged and transformed if the transformation script is unmodified.

  • Patent number: 8577935
Abstract: The present invention relates to systems and methods for storing performance data in a transit organization. Sets of performance data for runs over a plurality of routes are stored. The routes are divided into links. Associations between the sets of performance data and the links are also stored.

  • Patent number: 8521577
Abstract: A method and system for paratransit run-cutting is provided. A target number of paratransit vehicles is determined for each of a set of time intervals. A target number of trips corresponding to the target number of paratransit vehicles is generated for each time interval, each of said mock trips being defined such that a vehicle performing one of said mock trips in one of said time intervals is able to perform any of said mock trips in an immediately subsequent one of said time intervals. The target number of mock trips for each of the time intervals is entered into a fixed-route transit run-cutting application. Paratransit runs are created using fixed-route transit runs generated by said fixed-route transit run-cutting application.

  • Patent number: 8483952
Abstract: Apparatus and methods for training a person in route management are based on a personal computer. The apparatus may be used for example to train a bus driver to follow a new or changed route. A data store stores data streams corresponding to different kinds of information of the route, including video of the route, audio data, sound data, GPS and time data, and vehicle engine management data. A VDU and loudspeaker are used as output devices to present the plurality of data streams to a user such that they are co-related to the route to be followed. Data streams corresponding to different route information are not combined in the data store, but comprise cross-referable data. The computer is programmed to present the first data stream and the further data stream in a co-related manner via the output devices and in dependence upon the cross-referable data.

  • Publication number: 20130007092
Abstract: A method and system for providing case update notifications is provided. Judicial court case updates are received via a judicial court case management system for a judicial court. At least one of the judicial court case updates is identified as being of interest to a user unaffiliated with the judicial court that is participating in the judicial court case. The user is automatically notified of the at least one judicial court case update.

  • Publication number: 20120253878
Abstract: A method and system for scheduling paratransit service are provided. Demand metrics in a database are identified for a set of past days matching the type of a day for which service is being planned. The database is stored in storage of a computer system. One of the set of past days whose demand metrics correspond to a target demand level to be satisfied is selected. A service schedule for the day is initialized using actual service provided for the one past day. The service schedule is adjusted for the service fit metrics for the one past day stored in the database. The service schedule for the day is outputted.
