Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for purification of 18F-labeled choline analogs in a solution injectable to a patient, prepared using non-gaseous synthesis paths, comprising a step of solid phase extraction (SPE) purification using a solid support, wherein the solid support used in the solid phase extraction purification has the characteristic to retain impurities and reagents from the solution but not the 18F-labeled choline analogs.

Abstract: A method to extract out of an aqueous solution, concentrate and/or reformulate [18F] fluorides without any evaporation step wherein the eluting solution is a organic solution having a water content <3%. The solution contains at least: an organic solvent suitable for the subsequent radiolabelling reaction; a first compound (A) which is a molecule containing at least one acidic hydrogen and a second compound (B) which is an organic base sufficiently strong to be able to tear off the acidic hydrogen of the first compound (A) in an acid-base reaction leading to the formation of an organic salt (S).

Abstract: A method extracts out of an aqueous solution, concentrate and/or reformulate [18F] fluorides without any evaporation step. The eluting solution is a low water content, preferably <3% water, organic solution containing at least: a first compound (A) which is a tertiary alcohol-function bearing molecule, a second compound (B) which is a phase transfer agent suitable for radiolabeling and which is necessary to the anion exchange process.

Abstract: A cartridge for radiopharmaceutical packaging includes a low UV-absorbing plastic barrel, closed at one end by a cap and at the other by a piston. A shoulder cooperates with the barrel in a double-level snap-on system with a cavity cooperating with an injection fitting sleeve to make a seal. At a first end the cap has a peel-off porous liner covering the cavity. Radial fins protrude inside the cavity, for screwing the injection fitting and second radial fins protrude outside of the cap to fix to a cartridge protection shield. A second end minimizes a shadow area of UV flash lamp sterilization and ensures clearance for inserting an injection spike. The second end has a reduced wall thickness pierced by the spike during set up for dispensing of the pharmaceutical. An external cylindrical zone at the second end ensures leak tightness between the cap and the barrel.

Abstract: A method to extract out of water, concentrate and reformulate [18F] fluorides includes passing a dilute aqueous [18F] fluoride solution entering by an inlet (1) in a cavity (6) embodying an electrochemical cell with at least two electrodes (3, 4, 5), flowing in the cavity (6) and coming out of the cavity (6) by an outlet (2), an external voltage being applied to the electrodes. One electrode (4) is used as an extraction electrode, another one (3) is used for polarizing the solution, and configured so that at least the extraction electrode (4), either used as a cathode or as an anode, is in contact with and polarizes a large specific surface area conducting material (7), contained in the cavity (6). The extracted ions are released from the surface of the large specific surface area conducting material (7) by turning off the applied external voltage.
