  • Publication number: 20100025901
Abstract: An attenuating unit bearing, particularly an engine mount for a motor vehicle has a support spring, which limits a working chamber filled with a working medium. In order to achieve a high temperature resistance at a low rate initial load, the support spring is made of a fiber composite. The matrix material of the fiber composite is a thermoplastic synthetic fiber having a high thermal stability, which can be made ready to process by deep drawing.

  • Publication number: 20090302515
Abstract: A hydraulic damping mount has a working chamber and a compensating chamber, which are filled with a hydraulic liquid and separated from each other by an intermediate plate. The working chamber and the compensating chamber are connected to each other via a transfer passage and a bypass channel. The bypass channel can be opened or closed by an actuator. The actuator is configured as a one-piece elastomer part, which has a fastening portion on the edge and an actuating element, which is connected to the fastening portion via a flexible connecting portion.

  • Publication number: 20090152780
Abstract: A mount has a housing and a mount core. An elastomer spring supports the mount core on a housing and a receiving part is vulcanized into the elastomer spring. The receiving part has a receiving opening for the mount core. As the mount core is inserted, a preload is applied to the elastomer spring. The receiving part has at least one first core guide and a second core guide, between which the mount core is held. The receiving part also has a web which connects the core guides to one another in a first state and which is removed before or during the insertion of the mount core. The production of a mount of this type is simplified in this way.

  • Publication number: 20090072454
Abstract: A mounting bush contains an inner mount part supported by a resilient body made of an elastomeric material. The resilient body is mounted in an outer housing of a mount or on a chassis mounting pad. The resilient body defines at least two air-filled working chambers interconnected by at least one damping channel. The working chambers are low profile and contain a low linear excursion. A ratio of the pumping diameter to a linear excursion of 15 to 80 is provided.

  • Patent number: 7207552
Abstract: A hydraulic damping mount, particularly to mount an automotive engine, is formed with a support spring. The support spring is produced from an elastically deformable material and supports a mount core connected to a supporting arm. The mount is provided with a working chamber, defined by the support spring and which may be filled with a hydraulic fluid. A compensation chamber is connected to the working chamber by an overflow channel. The supporting arm is detachably connected to the mount core. The mount is characterized by a relatively simple and economic embodiment as the overflow channel is integrated in the supporting arm.

  • Patent number: 6921067
Abstract: A hydraulically damping mount contains a working chamber and a compensation chamber that are filled with a hydraulically damping liquid and are separated by an intermediate plate. The working chamber and the compensation chamber are interconnected by an overflow channel and a bypass channel that can be opened and closed by an actuator that can be electromagnetically actuated in the axial direction. Accordingly, the actuator is embodied as a sliding sleeve in the form of a hollow cylinder defining the bypass channel, and contains a radially protruding armature on its outer side. The armature is received in the compensation chamber. The armature co-operates with an electromagnetic coil received in the intermediate plate, and with a baffle plate for opening or closing the bypass channel. In this way, small regulating forces and a compact structure are produced.

  • Patent number: 6764066
Abstract: An hydraulic damping mount has an outer sleeve, an inner sleeve for securing thereto a piston of a spring strut (activatable in at least one direction), an elastomeric body and two chambers. The two chambers are interconnected via a gap. The inner sleeve comprises a radially projecting boss separating the two chambers from each other. The connection between the two chambers is configured in accordance with the invention as a gap between the boss and the outer sleeve so that when activated, the fluid flow through the gap is in the direction opposite to the movement of the boss, resulting in a reduction in the stiffness. This simplifies assembly whilst enhancing the stiffness response of the mount. The invention relates furthermore to a mount for supporting a spring strut in making use of such a mount.

  • Patent number: 6644633
Abstract: A hydraulic damping bush, more particularly in automotive applications, damps loads in a main loading direction. The bush includes an inner sleeve, an outer sleeve, a resilient mounting assembly disposed between the inner sleeve and the outer sleeve, as well as at least one end cap connecting the inner sleeve to the outer sleeve. The at least one end cap caps the space enclosed by the inner sleeve and outer sleeve from the environment. Two chambers are provided charged with a hydraulic damping fluid and interconnected via a transfer duct. The main loading direction is oriented parallel to a longitudinal axis of the inner sleeve and outer sleeve. The end caps can be formed separate from the resilient mounting assembly. Each of the chambers is defined by the resilient mounting assembly or a component adjoining the latter or by one of the end caps. This permits optimum material compatibility for facilitated production and assembly as well as a modular configuration of the bush.

  • Patent number: 6241223
Abstract: An elastic mount, especially an engine mount for motor vehicles includes at least two resilient elements connected in parallel to each other. Through force applicators, the two resilient elements are connected selectively to a source of vibration. The mount includes a coupler for selectively engaging the force applicators with the resilient elements. The coupler includes a first coupling element and a second coupling element selectively connectable by an actuator to ensure that only low travel and force components are needed for selection and to ensure that an axial decoupling of the non-effective resilient element exists in the released condition. The second coupling element swivels to be selectively connected to the first coupling element by the actuator. The second coupling element is connectable to the force applicator of the second coupling element in the engaged condition and is configured as a rotary body swivelably mounted in the released condition.
