    Abstract: A process for installing or removing a subsea structure in a non-vertical manner at a well includes securing a plurality of barges together in a linear formation in which one of the plurality of barges has a downline extending therefrom, connecting an end of the barges to a primary vessel, moving the primary vessel such that one of the barges is positioned over a target at or adjacent to the well, connecting a plurality of secondary vessels by plurality of mooring lines to an opposite end of the barges, tensioning the mooring line so as to fix the opposite end of the barges, positioning a deployment vessel away from the barges, deploying an ROV, manipulating the ROV so as to connect the subsea structure to the downline, and moving the downline and the subsea structure toward or away from the well.

    Abstract: A subsea connection system has a subsea structure with a flow channel therein and a port at one end of the flow channel, a stab having a flowline connected thereto, and a frame affixed to the stab. The stab is adapted to engage the port of the subsea structure so as to allow a fluid to flow from the flowline into the flow channel. The frame has a hook portion that is engageable with a tool hanger of the subsea structure so as to support the stab in alignment with the port. The frame is pivotable about the tool hanger so as to move the stab toward the port. An actuator is cooperative with the stab so as to move the stab between a retracted position and an extended position.

The first, second and third skids are adapted to be received within an interior of an aircraft. The skids and the connected components can then be flown by the aircraft to a desired location so as to be assembled at a location near a wellhead.

The actuator bears on the flange of the first connector when in the extended position so as to allow the second connector to be disengaged from the first connector. The first connector is a plurality of collet segments engageable with the hub of the second connector. The actuator causes the plurality of collet segments to separate from the hub when the actuator is in the extended position.

The disconnect mechanism is adapted to selectively release from the hose. The disconnect mechanism has a connector affixed thereto. A hydraulic fluid supply is connected to the connector so as to selectively release the connector from the hose. Control lines can extend from a surface location to a control module and the disconnect mechanism for selectively delivering for receiving signals from the subsea structure.

The pump module is suitable for passing fluid from the flow line of the pump module through the outlet line. The pump produces a pressure to the fluid greater than the pressure of the formation. A second blowout preventer is affixed to the flow diverter.
