Patent number: 5765403Abstract: A water treatment method and apparatus is described for generating a supply of activated water containing oxidants, including hydroxyl radicals, hydrogen peroxide, and hydroperoxy radicals, but excluding ozone. The apparatus includes a generator having ultraviolet lamps to which air is exposed to create activated air. To suppress the generation of ozone in the activated air, the air subjected to the ultraviolet lamps is maintained at a relative high humidity. Also, the activated air is generated in the presence of a catalyst and using 254 nm light, both of which are believed to aid in the destruction of any ozone generated by the exposure of the air to other wavelengths of the uv light. The catalyst also provides additional oxidants in the air. The activated air is entrained in the water using an injector to thereby produce the activated water.Type: GrantFiled: December 20, 1995Date of Patent: June 16, 1998Assignee: Tri-Mark Metal CorporationInventors: Phillip A. Patent number: 5383445Abstract: An indirect heater for heating air to be used for drying, curing or heating having an enclosure housing a circulation fan, filter bank, heat exchanger module and a burner. The heat exchanger has a bundle of tubes received between a pair of spaced apart headers. A cylindrical burner tube extends through one header and the tube bundle and opens into the other header. The burner flame and gaseous combustion products are discharged into a replaceable sacrificial sleeve that is telescopically received in the burner tube. A fan recirculates the heated gases through the interior of the sleeve, burner tube and the tubes of the bundle to increase heat transfer to the exterior air. The enclosure has a base, two pairs of opposed sidewalls and a top wall overlying the sidewalls. Each sidewall has an inner skin, a framework of trusses, an outer skin and insulation between the skins.Type: GrantFiled: September 27, 1993Date of Patent: January 24, 1995Assignee: Tri-Mark Metal CorporationInventor: James M. Patent number: 5181354Abstract: A barrier panel for enclosures and shield with a self-supporting framework of rigid tubes encompassing at least one through opening. The opening is enclosed by a cover sheet of flexible plastic film releasably secured to the framework by snap-on clips and a complementary retainer attached to a side face of the framework.Type: GrantFiled: March 5, 1991Date of Patent: January 26, 1993Assignee: Tri-Mark Metal CorporationInventors: Robert A. Patent number: 4731016Abstract: A releasable and gas tight sealing apparatus for construction panels of a paint baking oven which relieves the buildup of gas pressure within the oven in the event of an explosion. The apparatus has tongue and groove members and a compressible cord rope received in the groove members. In assembly and during normal use of the oven, the tongue is received in the groove and bears on and compresses the cord rope to provide a gas tight seal. In the event of an explosion, the construction panels are forced outwardly which disengages the tongue and groove members and relieves the buildup of gas pressure in the oven.Type: GrantFiled: February 3, 1987Date of Patent: March 15, 1988Assignee: Tri-Mark Metal CorporationInventor: James M. Patent number: 4612025Abstract: An apparatus for cleaning the air from a paint spray booth by removing paint particles entrained therein in which water flows across downwardly converging bottoms walls of the booth through a nozzle extending substantially the entire length of the booth to prevent paint from adhering to them. To improve efficiency and insure the water prevents adherence of paint particles, the nozzle has a rounded entry. The water is atomized and mixed with the paint particles in a restricted section of the nozzle which is connected to the entry by ledges which direct the water across the inlet of the restricted section to improve atomization and mixing of the water and to minimize the noise produced by the operation of the nozzle. The mixture is discharged from this nozzle through a restricted orifice at a high velocity to impinge on a pool of water below the nozzle which separates and removes particles of paint from the air.Type: GrantFiled: March 29, 1985Date of Patent: September 16, 1986Assignee: Tri-Mark Metal CorporationInventor: Ronald W. Patent number: 4384850Abstract: A recirculating air heater for an oven is fired by a burner and connected with the oven by a return air duct and an outlet duct. The return air duct has two sets of louvers for admitting controlled amounts of return air to a combustion chamber and a burner bypass chamber in the oven. The combustion gases and return air in the combustion chamber are mixed and directed through a catalytic converter before being mixed with the return air in the burner bypass chamber and directed back into the oven. A portion of the gases directed through the catalytic converter are discharged to atmosphere and an equal amount of preheated fresh air is admitted to the heater. The inlet and exhaust ducts are provided with blowers and dampers so that the mass flow rates of fresh air and exhaust air are substantially equal. During oven preheating some of the combustion gases and heated return air are caused to bypass the catalytic converter and flow directly back into the oven.Type: GrantFiled: June 17, 1981Date of Patent: May 24, 1983Assignee: Tri-Mark Metal CorporationInventor: James M. Patent number: 4022385Abstract: A water spray nozzle for removing paint particles from air exhausted from a paint spray booth. The nozzle has an inlet and an outlet and at least two orifices therebetween which are of progressively diminishing size in a direction toward the outlet. The walls of the nozzle are designed to produce considerable turbulence of the water stream flowing through the nozzle and to produce a wide angle solid spray of water from the nozzle outlet.Type: GrantFiled: March 18, 1976Date of Patent: May 10, 1977Assignee: Tri-Mark Metal CorporationInventor: Robert A.
