Abstract: A preform for blow molding a plastic container, and the resulting container, with a flip-top closure includes a container portion and a flip-top closure base portion integrally molded with the container portion. The flip-top closure base portion includes an integrally molded first hinge structure for connecting the flip-top closure base portion to a second hinge structure on a flip-top closure top to create the flip-top closure for the container.
Abstract: An inverted dispenser for a squeezable bottle is provided. The dispenser includes an outer portion having a frusto-conical body with a cavity extending therethrough. A lip extends circumferentially around the frusto-conical body. The dispenser also includes an inner portion having a cylindrical faceplate that includes a spout extending axially from a center of the faceplate. The inner portion is positioned within the outer portion such that the inner portion faceplate is positioned within the outer portion lip. The inner portion is further positioned such that the spout is in fluid communication with the cavity extending through the outer portion. In one embodiment, the inverted dispenser is formed with the outer portion and the inner portion molded as a single piece.
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a container cap and includes a container engaging section, a spout section, a closure member, and a slidable hinge assembly. The spout section comprises a protrusion extends from the top surface of the cap, at least one outlet opening formed adjacent to the top surface of the protrusion, and a dispensing tip that is located adjacent to the outlet opening. The slidable hinge assembly formed between the spout section and closure member connects the closure member and the spout section. The slidable hinge assembly comprises a hinge member and a guide member that is fitted into a guide rail integrally formed on the outer surface of the spout section for guiding the guide member. The closure member is coupled to the spout section with the hinge member and the guide member.
Abstract: A wide-dispersal package cap includes a rim and a domed portion formed within the rim and mounted thereto. The domed portion includes a plurality of orifices each having an internal opening and an external opening relative to a thickness of the domed portion. The orifices are formed spaced apart from one another through the domed portion at an angle, such that the external opening of a particular orifice is off-set from the corresponding internal opening, to thereby enhance wide-dispersal of contents of a package to which the cap is attached.
