  • Patent number: 9810533
Abstract: Novel tools and techniques for monitoring railway track geometry. In one aspect, some such tools and techniques can determine a location of a platform along a railway, capture one or more images of the railway, and/or analyze the rail configuration at that point. In another aspect, some solutions might employ photogrammetric techniques to analyze the rail configuration and thereafter store data about the rail configuration, perhaps correlated with the location of the images, in a data store.

The first process determines a first set of one or more position fixes based on extracted raw pseudorange information. The second process determines carrier phase smoothed pseudoranges based on carrier phase information and determines a second set of one or more position fixes based on the carrier phase smoothed pseudoranges. One or more of the first set of position fixes are provided to a user while a predetermined amount of carrier phase information is not available for performing carrier phase smoothing. One or more of the second set of position fixes are provided to the user while a predetermined amount of carrier phase information is available for performing carrier phase smoothing.

  • Patent number: 9740959
Abstract: A method of fusing images includes encoding first image data of a pixel in a first image and second image data of a like pixel in a second image. The first image and the second image have different exposures and are captured by an image capture device of the same scene from the same location, and the pixel and the like pixel map to an identical coordinate location within their respective images. The method also includes determining, by a graphics processing unit (GPU), a first quality measure for the first image data and a second quality measure for the second image data. A weighted blending of the first image data with the second image data is performed to achieve fused image data for a third pixel at the identical coordinate location in a fused image.
