Abstract: To damp the sound in an air conditioning system, particularly a vehicle air conditioning system, a tubular sound damping body is provided having openings at its opposite ends through which a liquid or gaseous medium flows. A respective connection tube is fitted at at least one and preferably at both of the openings, with the tube being of smaller cross-section than the sound damping body and the openings into the sound damping body. An isolating device in the form of an isolating element is around the inserted portion of each connection tube and also engages the interior of the sound damping body. Isolating element receiving recesses may be defined in the inserted end portion of the connection tube and the ends of the sound damping body for receiving the isolating elements. The isolating elements are comprised of an elastic rubber like material. Alternately, a spacer may be disposed around the elastic isolation device and engages the isolation device on the inside and the sound damping body on the outside.
Abstract: A rapid coupling, having a socket and a nipple which can be inserted into the socket. A locking device for the coupled position between the socket and nipple includes a radially outwardly protruding bead on the nipple. A cage mounted in the socket includes widenable holding fingers for gripping behind the bead on the nipple. The cage has an indicating device which includes radially outwardly displaceable, axially extending arms. The ends of those arms have a nose that can be seen and/or felt from the outside of the socket in the coupled position. A connection at the other end of the socket to a pipeline.
Abstract: A quick-action coupling, in particular for refrigerant lines, is provided with a sleeve (1) and a nipple (2) which can be pushed thereinto, with a set of seals (5) having at least one seal (6) of elastomeric material. It has furthermore a locking device (10, 11, 15) for the coupled position between sleeve (1) and nipple (2), which locking device has a bead (15) on the nipple (2) projecting in particular radially outwards and a cage (10) mounted in the sleeve (1), with retaining fingers (11) which can be opened out and engage behind the bead. A releasing tool (25) for opening out the retaining fingers (11) of the cage (10) is provided, which tool can be fitted onto the nipple (2) and can be pushed in in the direction of the sleeve (1). There is provided on the outer circumference of the sleeve (1) a radially outwardly projecting border (30). The releasing tool (25) had a radially inwardly directed collar (29), serving as a stop.
