Abstract: A convertible furniture arrangement includes a seat assembly having a seat bottom and a seat back coupled to the seat bottom. The seat back includes a back frame and a back cushion movable relative to the back frame. An armrest assembly is coupled to the seat bottom. The armrest assembly includes a base armrest portion and a side armrest portion movable from a stowed configuration to an extended configuration relative to the base armrest portion. The convertible furniture arrangement is convertible from a first seating mode to a second seating mode. In the first seating mode, the side armrest portion is in the stowed configuration and the back cushion is positioned against the back frame. In the second seating mode, the side armrest portion is in the extended configuration and the back cushion is positioned against the side armrest portion.
