Abstract: A system for emboli retrieval and methods of using same. The system includes a clot retrieval device including plurality of leaf-like extensions; and a collector configured for transitioning between a collapsed state when sequestered within an outer tube and an expanded state when advanced out of the outer tube, wherein the clot retrieval device is retrievable into the collector when the collector is in an expanded state. The system can optionally include a distal capturing device.
Abstract: A device for use within an occluded biological vessel and a method of using same to remove occlusion material from a vessel are provided. The device includes an elongated body configured for delivering projections arranged around a distal portion thereof into the biological vessel. Each of the projections includes a leaf-like structure connected to a stem portion having a higher axial rigidity than the leaf-like structure.

The device includes an elongated body configured for delivering extensions arranged around a distal portion thereof into the biological vessel. Each of the extensions includes an array of projections spaced apart to match openings in a biological mesh forming a part of the occlusion material.
