Patent number: 7467495Abstract: A strand-form vehicle seal is equipped with a flexible reinforcement with a substantially U-cross section. The flexible reinforcement includes at least two different substances formed of individual sections of a nonmetallic, soft-elastic material together with individual sections of another nonmetallic, however dimensionally stable and hard or rigid material. The individual sections in the reinforcement are interrupted and disposed intermittently each alternating one after the other along the direction of the reinforcement. The rigid sections form the clamping portions of the reinforcement. The soft elastic sections disposed between them lend flexibility to the reinforcement. In this manner, the vehicle seal is easier to process, dispose of and recycle. A method is also disclosed for making the seal.Type: GrantFiled: August 27, 2003Date of Patent: December 23, 2008Assignee: TROESTER GmbH and Co. KGInventor: Frank Reineke

Publication number: 20060182880Abstract: An installation for cross-linking an insulation layer or semiconductor layer of a cable, which is being produced and which passes through a reaction chamber filled with hot inert gas under pressure, provides that the conductor or conductors, as they progress through the reaction chamber and, accordingly, as the cross-linking progresses, are heated more strongly by inductive heating. Due to this measure, the cross-linking, which progresses from the inside and the outside to the center of the insulation layer or semiconductor layer and is associated with an increase in dimensional stability, is utilized for letting the cross-linking proceed more rapidly by increasing the temperature in the interior, that is, in the conductor. In this connection, the increase in dimensional stability of the insulation and/or semiconductor layer, which sets in as the cross-linking progresses, is utilized in order to increase the temperature of the conductor even more.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 27, 2005Publication date: August 17, 2006Applicant: Troester GmbH & Co.
