Abstract: This merchandiser (10) with horizontal air curtain includes an insulated product compartment (11) having an open access top (20); an evaporator compartment (22) for cooling air supplied from a fan compartment (26) and an air circulation system (25) having an upper outlet (40) at one side of the product compartment (11), an upper inlet at the other side of the product compartment disposed across from the outlet (40) and air circulation passages (30) and (32) communicating between the inlet (42) and the fan compartment (26). The outlet (40) discharges air from the evaporator compartment (22) into the return air inlet (42) and the inlet (42) returns air to the fan compartment (26) to provide a continuous air curtain for protecting the product compartment (11) from the incursion of ambient air so that the product (B) is maintained in a cool condition. The product compartment (11) includes a holding rack (48) adapted to hold single depth rows of partitioned vertical columns of bottles (B).
Abstract: This cleaning system includes a compressor driven by a motor, a condenser; a cooling fan for directing an air stream at the condenser during normal operation, a motor drive system for driving the fan, and a timing device for reversing the rotational direction of the fan motor to direct the stream of cooling air away from the condenser to remove debris collected on the condenser and clean the condenser during a cleaning cycle. The fan is driven by drive system having a solid state commutated motor or a drive system having a reversible permanent split capacitor motor. The timing device includes a timer for controlling the time periods during the normal operation (cooling) cycle and during the cleaning cycle.
Abstract: This curved front construction for a merchandiser (10) includes a door (22) having opposed side framing members (30) upper and lower framing members (31) and (32) and a flat glass panel (48) held in place by said members. Each of the side members (30) has retainer flanges (50) and each of the upper and lower framing members (31) and (32) is provided with arcuate retainer members (160) and (161) for retaining an outwardly disposed clear arcuate plastic sheet (52) in overlapping relation. The construction also includes an arcuate display panel disposed (24) above the door (22) and an arcuate grill panel (26) disposed below the door.

Abstract: This panel assembly (30) for a merchandiser (10) includes frame assembly (34) includes attached to the merchandiser and wall (22) and an aracuate translucent sheet (34). The frame assembly (34) includes opposed side retaining rails (36) receiving the flexed arcuate sheet (34) in retained relation, a lower base member (46) having an arcuate front wall (52), and an upper cap member (56) having an arcuate front wall (62). The panel assembly (30) includes a back-lighting assembly (80) for illuminating the translucent sheet (34).
Abstract: This recessed handle (10) may find particular use for refrigeration units, such as freezers and coolers, and includes a front wall (14) having a cut-out wall portion (30) bent to extend inwardly about a bend line (42) to leave a compatibly configurated opening (50). The handle (10) includes an outer frame member (32) for the opening (50) and an inner frame member (34) for the cut-out wall portion (30). The frame members (32 and 34) cooperate to provide a re-entrantly formed portion opposite the bend line (42) providing a finger hold and the frame members are connected by threaded fasteners (94).
Abstract: This cooler refrigeration system is for a cooler (10) having a storage compartment (12) including opposed side walls (16) an upper wall (18), a lower wall (20), and front and rear walls (22, 24) at least one of said front and rear walls (22, 24) providing an access door. The storage compartment (12) includes a circulation system (30) including a duct (32) disposed below the upper wall (18) providing an air inlet (34) in the midportion and air outlets (36) at the opposed end portions. The circulation system (30) provides two counter air flow paths A1, A2 by drawing air upwardly through the air inlets (34) by fans (40), cooling said air by directing the air outwardly across coils (38) disposed between each air inlet (34) and each air outlet (36) and directing said cooled air downwardly through each air outlet (36) and guiding the air along opposed side walls (16) to said lower wall (20) to be again drawn upwardly into the air inlet (34).
Abstract: An improvement to a gravity feed dispenser (D) for containers (C) having a guide assembly (A). The dispenser (D) includes spaced apart, longitudinally extending rails (34) and the improvement comprises a rectangular shaped overlay (3) of a low friction material. The overlay spans at least two rails and has a pair of longitudinally extending fingers (7) having outwardly turned ends (11) by which the overlay is attached to the two rails in a snap-fitting relation to secure the overlay in place.
Abstract: An improvement to a gravity feed dispenser (D) for container (C) having a guide assembly A. The dispenser includes spaced apart, longitudinally extending rails (34) and the improvement comprises a rectangular shaped overlay (3) of a low friction material. The overlay spans at least two rails and has an integrally formed channel (7) by which the overlay is attached to one of the rails to secure the overlay in place.
