Stored article data (12) are used to ascertain article features (28) and to compare them with the shot features (22) in order to output association information (36). There is in particular provision according to the invention for a user rating (42) to be provided to improve both the shot extraction algorithm (20) and the article extraction algorithm (26). Alternatively or additionally, there is in particular provision according to the invention for both the shot extraction algorithm (20) and the article extraction algorithm (26) to be produced on the basis of interconnected, preferably weighted, data aggregation routines.

The process includes: generating evaluation data by evaluating the sequence data with an evaluation algorithm, generating result data based on a combinatorial logic of the evaluation data with the evaluation criteria, generating calculation data from the sequence data, the evaluation data, and the result data using the evaluation algorithm, generating further sequence data taking into account the calculation data with the evaluation algorithm, and repeating the process until the result data exceeds a specified range. The calculation data acts onto the generation of new sequence data to improve an arrangement of nested sub-spaces with respect to evaluation criteria.

A high-energy beam is moved along a contour on a surface of the solid body, with the surface of the solid body facing the high-energy beam, to produce with the high-energy beam a cutting gap. The contour on the surface is compared with the defined contour stored in the control unit, and avoidance of the contour breach is automatically deactivated when the contour on the surface of the solid body matches the defined contour and a contour breach is detected. Otherwise, the contour is omitted. Advantageously, the high-energy beam travels along the contour with an averaged line movement.

If a detected gap width is within the first gap measurement, the feeding of the filler to the joining gap is stopped and a beam profile of the laser beam is set with a point or annular focus, and if a detected gap width is within the second gap measurement, a feeding of the filler is actuated.
