Abstract: An apparatus for repairing and/or inflating a damaged and/or deflated inflatable article, such as a punctured and/or flat tire, includes a container for receiving and retaining for dispensing, a sealant composition and a compressor assembly which is releasably connectable to the container. The container has associated therewith a valve assembly which allows for controlled dispensing of the sealant composition from the container to the damaged and/or deflated inflatable article. The container is progressively and selectively movable between respective first and second positions/configurations. In the first position/configuration, the container is disposed substantially parallel to the compressor assembly and in the second position/configuration the container is disposed at substantially right angles to the compressor assembly. The first and second positions/configurations correspond to storage and dispensing positions respectively for the sealant composition from the container.

Abstract: A tire sealant composition is provided for sealing punctures in pneumatic tires, particularly in the extreme outer shoulder edge and sidewall, comprising a liquid carrier, latex in an amount between about 0.5 to about 6.0% by weight of the composition, a polysaccharide suspending agent and a particulate material with a particle size of less than 300 ?m. The composition allows for passage through the tire valve without the need for removal of the valve core.

The valve means (200) includes a main body portion which, in use, is releasably connected to neck portions of both the first and second containers (1,100). The valve means (200) includes passageways (203, 220) to be connected, via hoses (205, 223) to the first container (1) and inflatable article respectively.

Abstract: An apparatus is provided for sealing of a damaged inflatable article, the apparatus including a container (1) for a sealant compound or composition, the container including at least one inlet means (4) which is releasably attachable to a source of pressurized air/gas, an extraction assembly (10 associated with the container (1), the extraction assembly (10 including an extraction unit having at least one outlet means (18) to be releasably coupled with or connected to the article and means (30) to be disposed within the container (1) and actuatable, upon supply of pressurized air/fluid/gas to the container (1) to allow for controlled dispensing of the sealant compound or composition from the container (1) via the extraction unit (10) to the article to be sealed.
