Patent number: 10649472Abstract: A system for establishing a fluid path between a plurality of tubes includes a manifold and a plurality of caps. The manifold defines an internal cavity and a plurality of orifices that access the cavity. Each of the plurality of caps are secured to an end of a respective tube of the plurality of tubes. Each cap defines a central orifice that is in fluid communication with the respective tube. Each cap has a tapered protrusion extending away from the end of the respective tube. The caps are disposed within the internal cavity such that the respective tube extends through a respective orifice of the plurality of orifices and outward from the manifold. The tapered protrusions of adjacent caps interact with each other to position each cap to form a seal with other caps having a central orifice such that the central orifices are in fluid communication with each other.Type: GrantFiled: July 10, 2017Date of Patent: May 12, 2020Assignee: TSE INDUSTRIES, INC.Inventors: David Gearheart, Robert Klingel, Jr.

Patent number: 7842349Abstract: Sprayable polyurethane compositions contain particulate filler in both polyol and isocyanate components for a total content of minimally 30 weight percent of particulate filler and fibrous reinforcement. The isocyanate component is stable with respect to storage, and composite structures prepared therefrom exhibit high modulus and can be used as replacements for unsaturated polyester systems. Resin transfer molding systems employ the same components and produce molded parts with good physical properties.Type: GrantFiled: October 11, 2007Date of Patent: November 30, 2010Assignee: TSE Industries, Inc.Inventor: Robert Michael Raday

Publication number: 20060177591Abstract: A two roll impregnator for impregnating fiber reinforcement for use in filament winding operatives contains two abutting rolls, at least one and preferably both having an elastomeric surface. Resin is constrained within a bath whose lower surfaces are defined by the abutting rollers and side dams. Fiber reinforcement is drawn over a first roller through the resin bath and between the closed nip of the abutting rollers, where full impregnation is fostered, excess resin removed, and the impregnated fiber degassed. Substantially dripless operation can be maintained.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 31, 2006Publication date: August 10, 2006Applicant: TSE INDUSTRIES, INC.Inventor: Robert Raday

Publication number: 20050075450Abstract: Highly damage resistant fiber reinforced composites are prepared from polyurethane systems employing a highly hydrophobic polyol component and an isocyanate prepolymer, the combination having a combined functionality greater than 5. The polyurethane systems may be used for gel coats and matrix resins, and produce substantially no volatile emissions. The systems are particularly useful for boat hulls and like products.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 24, 2004Publication date: April 7, 2005Applicant: TSE Industries, Inc.Inventors: Robert Raday, Curtis Reichel

Patent number: 6322850Abstract: The reaction product is derived from a composition containing one of seven silanes; dimethyldiethoxysilane, methyldiethoxysilane, dimethyldimethoxysilane, diphenyldimethoxysilane, trimethylmethoxysilane, trimethylethoxysilane, or aminopropyltriethoxysilane, a multi-functional polydimethyl siloxane emulsified polymer, a compatible surfactant, ethanol and a majority component of water. In the method, the reaction product is applied to a heated surface of a mold core to create a semi-permanent coating to facilitate multiple releases of molded parts. If not heated, the mold core must be dried to remove water.Type: GrantFiled: April 24, 2000Date of Patent: November 27, 2001Assignee: TSE Industries, Inc.Inventors: William D. Stephens, Patricia R. Bertolucci

Patent number: 5760158Abstract: Polyurethane rubbers are disclosed vulcanizable by peroxide and/or sulphur, the vulcanized rubber having improved low temperature compression set properties and low gas permeability. The vulcanizable polyurethane rubbers are made by mixing(A) 1.0 mol of polyester glycol having a molecular weight of 1500 to 7000 consisting of adipic acid and 2-methylpropanediol-1,3 in combination with cyclohexyldimethanol and/or propanediol. The mol ratio of methylpropanediol to cyclohexyldimethanol and/or propanediol can vary from 70 to 30 to 30 to 70%.(B) 0 to 2.5 mols of a diol having a molecular wright of 60 to 200; and(C) 0.95 to 3.5 mols of diisocyanate with a molar ratio of isocyanate group in (C) to the isocyanate-reactive groups in (A) and (B) of 0.95 to 1.02.Type: GrantFiled: September 23, 1997Date of Patent: June 2, 1998Assignee: TSE Industries, Inc.Inventor: Axel Schroeter
