  • Patent number: 6617951
Abstract: A safety switch includes a casing having a first terminal plate having a first contact point and a second terminal plate to which an end of a bi-metal plate is connected. A second contact point is connected to the bi-metal plate. A movable member is movably engaged with the casing and has two protrusions from an inside of the movable member. The other end of the bi-metal plate is movably located between the two protrusions. The movable member can be easily connected with different types of switch members.

  • Patent number: 6480090
Abstract: The present invention relates to a universal device for safety switches which is used to control a conductive strip and serves as On/Off switching agent. The attachment is slopingly mounted in the switch housing. And the push-pull body used to move the conductive strip includes a pull body and an inclined spring element above the pull body. The pull body is in a free state when the conductive strip bounces upward into a deforming position. As a result, the attachment is not connected with the conductive strip; however, they are in a pull-push switching relationship such that the conductive strip is collapsible in a manner of reverse deformation for an electric disconnection in case of overload without restraint of the push-pull body of the attachment. During the ordinary state, the conductive strip maintains the usual (On/Off) switching function. Accordingly, the present invention is applicable to all kinds of safety switches for reaching a multipurpose effect of one object.

  • Patent number: 6469610
Abstract: A switch assembly comprises a switch knob, a contact control member, a resilient contact piece and a bimetal alloy leaf for automatically cutting off power supply when current overload occurs. The switch knob is depressed to drive a protuberance to directly press or release the contact control member and the resilient contact piece to connect or cut off the power supply in normal operation. When current overload occurs, the bimetal alloy leaf deformed to push a moveable rod of the contact control member to release the resilient contact piece for cutting off the power supply. The switch assembly also includes a resilient member for restoring the contact control member to a normal off state after cutting off the power supply.

  • Patent number: 6462292
Abstract: A see-saw switch is provided where two ends of the switch housing opposite to the button, respectively include a narrow U-groove formed therethrough. A resilient piece is disposed in each groove and only one end thereof is fixed. The inner rim face of each resilient piece is formed in an arched body contour. The bottom ends of the button have a respective projection that is used to press against the arched body shaped inner rim face of the resilient piece for maintaining the position of the button until it is displaced by a user.

  • Patent number: 6400250
Abstract: The present invention relates to a safety switch for protecting circuit having a change-over push-pull rod between a button shade and a conductive strip. The top end of the push-pull rod is pivotally connected to the button shade while the bottom end thereof includes a pushing part and a pulling part which are not the same length. The push-pull rod and the external end of the conductive strip are not coupled, but situated in a pushing and pulling change-over relationship. In cooperation with the inner and outer spring elements and a play groove, the conductive strip will be collapsed in a manner of reverse deformation for a disconnection when the current is overloaded, without restricted by the pushing part and the pulling part. Besides, the safety switch includes the ON-OFF change-over function under ordinary state. The configuration is therefore simplified and the user safety is much more ensured.

  • Patent number: 6275133
Abstract: A switch structure comprises a control element, which comprises an alloy piece and a swinging device. The swinging device has an actuating element used to actuate the swinging device when the actuating element is pushed. When the alloy piece is overheated due to overloading of current, it will deform toward the actuating element so as to eject the actuating element, which causes the swing device to swing outwards and is released from the supporting of the stopper in the switch body. Then, the swing device moves towards the original closing position, and the elastic contacting piece is released from the pressing of the swing device to eject upwards. Two joints connected in an electric loop are tripped. The object of rapid response, cutting power source, and safety is therefore achieved.

  • Patent number: 6252489
Abstract: A switch structure which includes an alloy piece, a contact control device, and a push device is disclosed. The contact control device includes an elastic part and connects to an end part so that the end part may reciprocally move with respect to the contact control device in a horizontal direction. The end part normally contacts with the upper side of the stopper placed in the switch body and is used to push the push device towards the end part when the alloy piece is overheated and strain is generated due to the current flowing through the alloy piece. The end part then elastically contracts and escapes from the stopper to fall down so that another end of the contact control device projects upwards and does not press the elastic contact plate. Therefore, the elastic contact plate may escape from the two contact points to cut off the power source rapidly by the elastic force to achieve the purpose of safety.
