Abstract: A case for a PDA includes a keyboard, and a pass-through I/O port so that the PDA does not have to be removed from the case for docking. The case includes front and rear panels hinged in a clamshell configuration. The rear panel includes a docking port configured to mate with the PDA. The docking port includes an inner electrical connector configured to mate with an I/O connector on the PDA. The docking port further includes an outer electrical connector configured to mate with a docking connector on a docking cradle. The front panel includes a keyboard assembly and is movable between a closed position wherein the keyboard assembly overlies the PDA display screen and an open position wherein the keyboard is oriented for data entry and the rear panel is oriented at a viewing angle. The keyboard is segmented into a main section and first and second folding sections pivotally coupled to the main section.

Abstract: A privacy filter for use on an electronic display screen, such as a PDA display screen or a laptop display screen, is constructed using holographic imaging technology. The privacy filter consists of a flexible, optically clear photopolymer film having a plurality of holographic images formed thereon. The key aspect of the present disclosure is constructing the master holographic images by imaging the master holographic recording plates at a severe side angle “off angle”. By shooting the hologram at this “off angle”, the resulting hologram is not visible to a person looking directly (perpendicularly) at the resulting hologram. However, the holograms are visible within the remaining fields of view to the right and to the left of center. Creation of the holograms in this manner creates an effective blocking tool for use in the context of a privacy filter.

Abstract: A writing implement (10) includes an integrally formed stylus tip (12) for inputting information into electronic devices. An ink cartridge style pen (10) with a push-button spring actuator (48) is modified to include an integrally formed stylus tip (12) molded into the writing end of the pen. When the ink cartridge (30) is retracted, the stylus tip (12) is available for use. However, when the ink cartridge (30) is extended, it extends beyond the stylus tip (12) for engagement with paper writing media. The pen (10) allows the operator to quickly and easily switch between writing with an ink tip cartridge (30) to input information with the stylus tip (12) without significant manipulation of the pen.

Abstract: A stylus tip for inputting information into electronic devices is provided on the writing end of a writing implement so that the operator can quickly and easily switch between writing with an ink tip cartridge to input information with the stylus tip without significant manipulation of the pen. More specifically, the writing implement comprises an elongated body portion including a first end, a second end and an outer surface constructed and arranged to be gripped by a user. Located within an interior chamber of the body portion is a retractable ink cartridge actuated by a conventional push button/spring biased actuator. The stylus tip is preferably integrally formed with the outer surface of the first end of the body portion extending forwardly from the first end of the body portion such that the stylus tip is presented for use when the body portion is gripped by a user in a normal writing grip.
