    Abstract: The invention provides a process for producing a composition comprising natural alumino-silicate minerals having improved reactivity for use in methods of animal husbandry, veterinary and pharmaceutical treatment, comprising irradiating natural alumino-silicate minerals in a liquid suspension with transverse electromagnetic wave radiation in the range of 1,800 MHz to 3,000 MHz, the liquid suspension having a boiling temperature of below 120° C. The invention also provides a method of treating digestive ailments in animals comprising administering to an animal in need of same an effective amount of a composition comprising at least one natural alumina-silicate mineral which has been irradiated with transverse electromagnetic wave radiation in the range of 1,800 MHz to 3,000 MHz.
