Abstract: A polymer compatible retroreflective bead. The bead can be used in typical retroreflective uses such as paints tapes and films in highway marking and signs having high retroreflectivity both when initially installed and over the bead lifetime, allowing vehicle drivers to see highway marking lines at night and in adverse conditions during nighttime. When installed the retroreflective beads essentially retroreflect the base color of the highway marking material in which the retroreflective beads are embedded.
Abstract: The claimed material relates to a composite of an interfacial modified fiber and mixed or combined polymer composite having enhanced impact, and modulus properties.

Abstract: A retroreflective composite bead for highway marking having high retroreflectivity both when initially installed and over the bead lifetime, allowing vehicle drivers to see highway marking lines at night and in adverse conditions during nighttime. When installed the retroreflective beads essentially retroreflect the base color of the highway marking material in which the retroreflective beads are embedded. The beads comprise a larger bead with a coating of smaller particles heat bonded to its surface.
Abstract: Disclosed is a composite of a particulate and polymer, the composite characterized by less than enough polymer to fully occupy the available excluded volume of the particulate of the composite. The resulting composite is characterized by the particulate partially covered by the polymer leaving a substantial surface area uncovered.
Abstract: An article is formed by joining two or more layers in a stable structure, containing at least one composite layer that can be melted, with tensile and shear strength. The article is assembled by one or more mechanical fasteners and melt adhesion regions.
Abstract: An advanced siding panel that combines a traditional siding appearance with improved insulation, structural integrity, and improved thermal characteristics.

Abstract: A robust sintered retroreflective composite comprising, a core bead, a peripheral bead, and an interphase coating. The bead can be used in typical retroreflective indicia and uses.
Abstract: Embodiments herein relate to a composite material including about 10 to 80 wt. % of a polymer phase, the polymer phase comprising a thermoplastic polymer with a density of less than about 1.9 g-m-2; and about 20 to 90 wt. % of a dispersed mixed particulate phase, the dispersed mixed particulate phase comprising a mixed particulate and about 0.005 to 8 wt. % of a coating of at least one interfacial modifier. The mixed particulate including a portion of a reinforcing fiber and a portion of a particle. The composite material having a Young's modulus of greater than 700 MPa. In various embodiments, structural building components made from the composite are included as well as additive manufacturing components made from the composite. Other embodiments are also included herein.
