Abstract: The present invention is concerned with a hair fastener in the form of a hair claw. The hair fastener has a first claw member hingedly and pivotably connected to a second claw member. The first claw member and the second claw member define a cavity therebetween for housing a log of hair in use. The first claw member and the second claw member are provided with a plurality of first prongs and a plurality of fifth prongs which together define a first, outer, prong layer, a plurality of third and fourth prong which together define a second, middle, prong layer, and a plurality of second and sixth prongs which together define a third, inner, prong layer.

Abstract: The present invention is concerned with a hair fastener. The hair fastener has a first hair claw member and a second hair claw member for accommodating and securing a log of hair therebetween, a first hinge positioned between and pivotably connecting respective rear ends of the first and second claw members together for controlling relative movement thereof, a first handle connected to a rear end of the first claw member, and a second handle pivotably connected to a rear end of the second claw member, and a lock including a first projection extending from the first handle and a second projection extending from the second handle in that the first and second projections are pointed towards, engageable with and lockable against each other.

Abstract: The present invention is concerned with a method of manufacture of a hair fastener. The method includes the steps of i) providing at least one elastic band with a length of 65-205 mm and a width or diameter of 0.8-10 mm, wherein the elastic band defines ends surface at opposite ends thereof, ii) knitting a layer of fabric over and along the length of the elastic band; iii) connecting the opposite ends by a first connector thus effecting the elastic band taking the form of loop, wherein the first connector is an adhesive; iv) connecting the opposite ends by a second connecter, wherein the second connector is formed by molding over the first connector at the opposite ends, and bonding the second connector, the fabric cover and the elastic band at the opposite ends together.

Abstract: A hair barrette is provided. The hair barrette has a decorative member defining an outwardly facing surface and an inwardly facing surface, and a closure device. The closure device includes a lever and first and second seat members arranged at opposite ends of the decorative member. One end of the lever is hingedly connected to the second seat member at which the lever is pivotably movably with respect to the decorative member. The closure device is provided with a bridge member raised from the inwardly facing surface of the decorative member and connecting the first and second seat members. The first and second seat members and the lever are made of a first plastic(s) material and the bridge member is made from a more flexible second plastic(s) material. The bridge member is made of polymeric material, has a hardness of Shore D30-70, and is extendible in length to 150-300%.

Abstract: There is disclosed a hair brush. The brush has an elongate body including a utility portion and a handle portion at opposite ends thereof and defining a longitudinal axis. The utility portion includes a back member acting as a support from which brushing protections extend, and defines a first plane and a second plane perpendicularly intersecting the first plane. The back member is flexibly movable with respect to the handle portion on the first plane and the second plane. The utility portion further includes a pair of spines arranged at opposite sides of the back member for controlling the flexible movement of the back member whereby the extent of control of movement of the back member by the spines are either limited to the movement on only the first plane or substantially more on the first plane than the second plane.

Abstract: There is provided a hair comb. The comb has a utility member made of a first polymeric material for engaging hair and scalp of a user in use and a splint portion made of a second material for providing rigidity to the utility member and to act as a handle for user's grip. The splint member is substantially stiffer than the utility member, wherein the splint member has a flexural strength of at least 40 Mpa and a hardness of at least Shore D 75, and the first polymeric material is selected from a group selected from thermoplastics polyester elastomer (TPE-E), polyether block amide copolymer (TPE-A), ethylene-vinyl acetate (EVA), polyurethane (PU) and polyethylene (PE).

Abstract: The present invention provides an improved hair brush. The hair brush has an elongate profile defining a first longitudinal axis, has a handle portion in the form of a stick sharing the first longitudinal axis and provided with a proximal end and an distal end, and further comprises a utility portion extending from the distal end of the handle portion for engaging the hair and the scalp of a user during use. The utility portion includes at least a first floating finger and a second floating finger forking off from the distal end of said handle portion, with both the first floating finger and the second floating finger provided with brushing members but independently and flexibly movable in any direction transverse to the longitudinal axis such that the first and second floating members can separately adjust in position in use.

The hair fastener has an inner elastic core and an outer fabric enveloping the inner elastic core, wherein the elastic core is made of a band with a width of 2 to 6 mm and a thickness of 1 to 3 mm, and made of thermoplastic elastomer (TPE). The hair fastener is adapted to assume a first, default, configuration in which an opening defined and surrounded by the loop has a first area and a second, fully expanded, configuration in which the opening defined and surrounded by the loop has a second area. Due to the physical configuration and material characteristics of the band, the band is elongateable up to 8.5 to 10 times of its original length thus enabling the first area of the loop to expand to the second area by a factor 72.3 to 100.

The method has the steps, in the sequence of, i) forming a base layer in the form of a mesh by way of a first molding step, the base layer defining an upper surface and a lower surface opposite the upper surface, made of a first material selected from a group consisting of polypropylene (PP), nylon, polyoxymethylene (POM) and thermoplastic elastomer (TPE), and including a plurality of recesses with apertures at the upper surface, ii) forming a substrate layer for supporting bristles of the hair brush by a second molding step of overmoulding a finishing layer over the base layer, the finishing layer made of a second material; iii) installing the bristles to the substrate layer at the recesses through the apertures; and iv) assembling the substrate layer installed with the bristles to a casing of the hair brush.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a hair clip. The clip has a first leg portion and a second leg portion formed from a wire, the wire configured by bending such that the first and second leg portions are biased toward each other and at default lie in contact or at least adjacent to each other, and substantially parallel to each other, for securing hair therebetween. The wire is provided with a first coating of a paint material on an entire surface of the wire. Each of the first and second leg portions forms an outwardly facing surface and an inwardly facing surface, the first and second leg portions being provided with a second coating of an anti-slipping material only over the inwardly facing surface and on the first paint material coating such that the outwardly facing surface of the first and second leg portions is free of the anti-slipping coating.
