  • Patent number: 4689172
Abstract: The luminescent material(s) optionally composed of more color components are suspended in the solution of active agent(s) and treated with 0.5 to 10% by weight of glass forming acid or a mixture thereof, preferably boric acid or phosphoric acid calculated on the weight of the luminescent material. Then a solution comprising 1 to 15% by weight of aliphatic amines calculated on the weight of the luminescent materials is added and the mixture thus obtained is homogenized.

  • Patent number: 4610217
Abstract: An apparatus for electrostatic spray coating of the insides of light transmissive lamp envelopes, comprising a stand, a turntable mounted on the stand for receiving pairs of the envelopes, gas burners for preheating the envelopes and burning in the sprayed coating layer and serving as an electrode to ground the envelopes, a dust generator for preparing and homogenizing, with a rotary chopper, the particles of the dust to be sprayed on the envelopes as the coating layer, spray guns with dust conduits connected to an exhaust system for collecting the particles of dust not bound in the layer and made free during spraying. The apparatus further comprises an electrostatic voltage source connected to the nozzles of the spray guns for negatively charging the dust particles so that the particles are electrostatically attracted to the envelopes, and elements to allow cleaning of the apparatus.

  • Patent number: 4559278
Abstract: The invention relates to a current inlet conductor assembly particularly for vacuum devices, especially for light sources such as incandescent lamps or discharge tubes, comprising an inlet conductor made of molybdenum for passing electric current and being surrounded by a vitreous material forming a hermetic seal therewith and an intermediate metal coating covering the surface of the inlet conductor at least on the places to be welded. The essence of the invention is that the intermediate metal coating is made of rhenium, advantageously with a thickness from 3 to 1200 nm. As proposed, the intermediate rhenium layer should be produced by electrolytic deposition, especially from an aqueous solution.
