  • Publication number: 20180313238
Abstract: An exhaust valve for an internal combustion engine comprises a valve disc having a first side (14) and a second side (16), a valve stem extending from the first side of the valve disc, and an annular valve seat area (11) located at the first side of the valve disc. The annular valve seat area (11) is of a nickel-base alloy or a chromium-base alloy and has a valve seat surface. The annular valve seat area has at least a first annular portion (43) located in between two second annular portions (42). The first annular portion has lower hardness than the two second annular portions.

  • Publication number: 20150301978
Abstract: Electrical node (1) for forming daisy-chain buses with simultaneous serial data transmission and power transmission, comprising three connectors for a multipolar cable. The first connector comprises two contacts for input transmission of power and a contact for unidirectional serial input data transmission. The second connector comprises two contacts for output transmission of power and a contact for unidirectional serial output data transmission. The third connector comprises two contacts for power supply to a point of use; they are electrically connected to the two power contacts of the second connector by a switch. The node also comprises a device that reads a frame from the data contact of the first connector, and closes the switch for a duration depending on a value read from the frame.

  • Patent number: 6311478
Abstract: Guiding mechanism for variable geometry vectoring nozzles, applicable to gas turbines, capable of transmitting tangential forces acting on the external ring under vectoring loads onto the inner ring, avoiding the need of a joint between the outer ring and the nozzle structure. With this purpose a guiding track (9) oriented circunferentially around the pivoting axis (8) is incorporated onto the outer ring (3) and a track (10) oriented around a second axis (6) perpendicular to the previous is incorporated on the intermediate ring (2). The sledge element (11) joint to the intermediate ring (2), slides along the track (9) as a result of vectoring around the axis (8). For vectoring around axis (6) the sledge element (12), joint to the inner ring (1) slides over the track (10).

  • Patent number: 4037606
Abstract: A correcting garment comprises a tubular body adapted to cover an anatomical region below the wearer's chest, the tubular body being constituted by superimposed inner and outer tubular sheets of fabric joined together by a layer of latex. The tubular sheets are elastic in the widthwise direction and are so arranged that on transverse expansion of the sheets they tend to undergo longitudinal rolling in opposite directions, whereby the tendency of the two sheets to roll is neutralized.
