Patent number: 11935009Abstract: The present invention extends to methods, systems, and computer program products for integrating healthcare screening with other identity-based functions. In general, components facilitating healthcare screening interoperate with and/or are integrated into other systems, including facility access, identity, time keeping, payroll, etc. Aspects of the invention include using facial recognition to improve healthcare screening and satisfy governmental regulations. A thermal scanner can include a camera and an InfraRed (IR) camera. The thermal scanner can collect a facial image and derive a temperature for a person (e.g., from an IR image). The thermal scanner can also collect or access previously collected healthcare screening questionnaire answers. The collected temperate and healthcare screening questionnaire answers can be used to control access to the facility.Type: GrantFiled: April 8, 2021Date of Patent: March 19, 2024Assignee: TURING VIDEOInventors: Weiwei Chen, Chien-Yu Chen, Zhengyang Ma, Chethan Kothwal

Patent number: 11792252Abstract: The present invention extends to methods, systems, and computer program products for converting an RTSP coordinated stream into an HLS stream. A server participates essentially simultaneously in an RTSP coordinated stream with a content creating electronic device (e.g., a camera) and in an HLS stream with the end-point (e.g., a Web browser). The media server receives a portion of RTSP stream data directly from the content creating electronic device. The media streaming server converts the portion of RTSP stream data into HLS stream data. The media streaming server sends the HLS stream data via the HLS stream to the end-point. The end-point or an end-point user may subsequently request termination of content streaming. In response to an HLS terminate instruction, the streaming media server can coordinate (e.g., concurrent) termination of both the RTSP coordinated stream and the HLS stream.Type: GrantFiled: March 19, 2021Date of Patent: October 17, 2023Assignee: TURING VIDEOInventors: Weiwei Chen, Chien-Yu Chen

Patent number: 11475671Abstract: A surveillance system may comprise one or more computing devices and a plurality of robotic surveillance devices. The one or more computing devices may be configured to obtain video data captured by one or more cameras. The one or more computing devices may analyze the video data to identify two or more conditions, and associate results of the identification with respect to the two or more conditions to determine an activity category. The one or more computing device may assign tasks to the plurality of robotic surveillance devices based on the determined activity category. The plurality of robotic surveillance devices may be configured to perform responding actions in response to receiving the tasks.Type: GrantFiled: May 4, 2018Date of Patent: October 18, 2022Assignee: Turing VideoInventors: Fang Wang, Song Cao

Patent number: 11429799Abstract: The present invention extends to methods, systems, and computer program products for testing proximity card readers. Aspects include proximity card reader test bed environments configured to test proximity card readers with a plurality of proximity cards while minimizing human involvement. A proximity card reader can be tested to determine a likelihood of the proximity card reader functioning as intended over time and to determine proximity card reader compatibility with different proximity card formats. Proximity card reader failures (e.g., crashes) and incompatibilities can be detected in the testbed environment reducing the likelihood of deploying defective and/or incompatible card readers into operation.Type: GrantFiled: April 6, 2021Date of Patent: August 30, 2022Assignee: Turing VideoInventors: Weiwei Chen, Chien-Yu Chen, Tian Xie

Patent number: 11354901Abstract: An activity recognition system may comprise a local device and a server. The local device may be configured to: obtain a video; determine whether at least one human is present in one or more frames of the video; in response to determining the at least one human present in the video, determine if the at least one human in each of the frames corresponds to the same person; in response to determining that the at least one human in each of the frames corresponds to the same person, determine if the person is a stranger; and in response to determining that the person is not a stranger, transmit at least a portion of the video to the server. The server may be configured to: predict an activity class associated with the person; and trigger an alarm based on the activity class.Type: GrantFiled: April 23, 2020Date of Patent: June 7, 2022Assignee: Turing VideoInventors: Song Cao, Fang Wang

Patent number: 11209796Abstract: A surveillance system may comprise one or more computing devices and one or more robotic surveillance devices. The one or more computing devices may be configured to obtain video data captured by one or more cameras. The one or more computing devices may analyze the video data to determine whether there is any trigger event. In response to determining that there is a trigger event, the one or more computing device may determine an optimal robotic surveillance device among the one or more robotic surveillance devices based on the trigger event and provide an instruction to the optimal robotic surveillance device. The optimal robotic surveillance device may be configured to perform a responding action in response to receiving the instruction.Type: GrantFiled: June 1, 2020Date of Patent: December 28, 2021Assignee: Turing VideoInventors: Fang Wang, Song Cao
