Abstract: A synthesis method for carbazole phosphazene based polymer and a method for the recovery of precious metal elements from electronic waste materials are provided. The developed method allows for the efficient and cost-effective synthesis of carbazole phosphazene based polymer in a single step, with high yield and easy purification. In the method for the recovery of precious metal elements from electronic waste materials, a two-step metal leaching process is employed using solutions with different acidity levels, resulting in the high-efficiency recovery of precious metal elements. The carbazole phosphazene based polymer represented by Formula 2 exhibits high selectivity in the adsorption of precious metal elements, particularly gold. Therefore, it can be applied in the recovery of gold and other precious metals from electronic waste materials in the method for the recovery of precious metal elements.

  • Patent number: 9857176
Abstract: The drift (°/h) for an interferometric fiber optic gyroscope (IFOG) means the variations on the voltage generated versus the zero angular (rotation) rate, while IFOG is not under influence of any angular rate effect. If the drift of an IFOG is predefined, the compensation of the drift can trivially be carried out by a subtraction process. However, with this invention, the necessity of the predefinition of the zero rotation rate voltage of the IFOG which belongs to the primary coil called “Gyro Coil” herein, is removed because the instantaneous variations on the zero rotation rate voltage of the IFOG can be monitored either periodically or whenever required with help of a secondary coil, called as “Monitor Coil”, which is able to be switched by a microcontroller controlled-MEMS fiber optic ON/OFF switches.

  • Publication number: 20160334285
Abstract: The averaged pulse energy (J) of a Pulsed Type Laser Source can be measured by several types of commercial laser energy meters, such as pyroelectric detector or thermopile sensor, the spectral responsivity and the time/frequency related response properties of which are compatible with those of the Pulsed Type Laser Source. These Commercial Laser Energy Meters, regardless of sensor/detector type, should be calibrated against the working standards calibrated in a national (or an international) traceability chain relying on primary standards on the highest level having the lowest uncertainty in realizations of the fundamental SI units. FCIS based-LEMCS designed in this invention accomplishes both of the above proficiencies of measuring the averaged pulse energy of the Pulsed Type Laser Source and calibrating the Commercial Laser Energy Meters, which are traceably to primary level standards.

  • Patent number: 8755588
Abstract: Segmentation of certain regions defined on a firearm cartridge case for successful automatic matching of cartridge cases after a cartridge is fired, on the basis of the marks left on the cartridge cases fired. Disclosed is a method for segmentation of a cartridge case base by using surface height matrix information comprising: detecting the center of the cartridge case base; according to this center, obtaining the polar height matrix by subjecting the surface height matrix to polar transformation; acquiring a one-dimensional signal, “Average Height Signal on the Basis of Radius” (AHSBR), by calculation of the mean value on the radius axis applied on the polar height matrix; determining regions similar to circle signal models on the AHSBR and detecting circles; determining the firing pin mark region by threshold processing of the primer region surface height matrix. Letters on the cartridge case base are detected by using slope matrices.

Abstract: One of the significant problems encountered in criminology studies is the successful automatic matching of cartridge cases after a cartridge is fired from a firearm, on the basis of the marks left on the cartridge cases fired. One of the probable steps in the solution of this problem is the segmentation of certain regions defined on the cartridge case. This invention relates to the method for segmentation of cartridge case base by using surface height matrix information.
