Abstract: Provided is a system and method for publishing a disparate live media output stream that complies with distribution format regulations. One or more processors in the system generate a preview based on a low-latency protocol for a plurality of live input streams, and generate an updated schedule based on one or more events identified in the preview in real-time. The updated schedule includes one or more transitions between the plurality of live input streams and pre-encoded media assets. A disparate live media output stream manifest is generated based on manipulation of manifests of the plurality of live input streams and pre-encoded media assets in accordance with the updated schedule. The generated disparate live media output stream manifest is delayed to allow decisions based on the preview, and includes programming content and non-programming content available to the one or more processors for immediate consumption, and complies with distribution format regulations.

Abstract: A media presentation and distribution system includes a verification server that handles dynamic verification of playback of media assets on a client device. The client device receives an asset stream of media assets that comprises one or more tags embedded in the media assets. The client device detects an asset identifier associated with each of the media assets during playback of each media asset on the client device, based on identification of a tag of the one or more tags. The verification server verifies the playback of the media assets on the client device based on received support information from the client device. The playback of the media assets are verified to satisfy defined asset delivery criteria and to identify and debug a deviation or one or more errors with the playback of the media assets.

Abstract: An advertisement management system receives a commercial break schedule generated from a completed assignment of one or more spots, which correspond to deals including advertiser orders to place the one or more spots into one or more commercial breaks in the commercial break schedule based on constraints and placement requirements. The system determines which of one or more orders in one or more deals are targeting orders, and determine a baseline target delivery for the targeting orders based on expected viewership associated with the targeting orders. The system places a portion of the one or more spots for the targeting orders based on a lift goal over the baseline target delivery, determines a liability per pending spot for spots determined to be candidates for advertisement scheduling and reshuffles placement of a remaining portion of the one or more spots based on the liability per pending spot for the candidates.

Abstract: A media presentation and distribution system (MPDS) that handles rules-based presentation of non-programming media items, receives a user request (which includes user parameters) for delivery of programming media content at a first client device and transmits a media stream that includes the programming media content with a plurality of identifiers present with the programming media content. The MPDS further receives a request that includes one or more user preferences from the first client device, based on a detection of the plurality of identifiers. The MPDS further determines a set of non-programming media items for delivery to first client device based on the user parameters, targeting parameters, goals associated with a non-programming media item. The MPDS further generates rules and constraints information for non-programming media items and instructs a delivery of the set of non-programming media items and the rules and constraints information to first client device.

One or more events in a first live input stream manifest of the plurality of live input stream manifests are identified. The plurality of segments are determined based on the received plurality of triggers and the metadata. The processor embeds at least one content marker in at least one segment of the plurality of segments. The at least one content marker includes attribute information associated with at least one video-on-demand (VOD) content asset. The processor dynamically generates the at least one VOD content asset based on the at least one content marker, and transmits the at least one VOD content asset to at least one server communicatively coupled with the MVPD system.

A persistent record of event data and media, synchronized based on one or more criteria and received from a recording client device, is generated corresponding to the shared media session and previous shared media sessions until the shared media session is terminated by at least one of the first client device or by abandonment of the distributed communication network by the plurality of client devices.
