    Abstract: A device and method for generating a visible vortex for display or educational purposes is disclosed. A container houses a two-phase fluidic system of a primary fluid, such as water, and a secondary fluid such as silicone fluid carrying a powder which has no affinity for the primary fluid. The two-phase fluidic system may be stirred using a stir bar or pump to general the vortex.
