    Abstract: Methods and systems for conducting a transaction which relate to receiving a transaction request from a transaction object containing a region identifier and a mobile device identifier. A short code is identified in a short code database based on the region identifier. A confirmation request message is transmitted to a mobile device corresponding to the mobile device identifier, where the confirmation request message includes a reply address corresponding to the short code.
