  • Patent number: 6749470
Abstract: A low insertion force connector that has a female socket and a male plug. The female socket has a contact element with first and second adjacent contact blades. The male plug has a pin terminal with a first side and a second side. The first side has a first receiving zone adjacent to a second receiving zone. The first receiving zone is offset from the second receiving zone such that deflection of the first contact blade by the first receiving zone differs from the deflection of the second contact blade by the second receiving zone when the pin terminal is mated with the contact element.

  • Patent number: 6733322
Abstract: A pluggable connection housing (1) with a boot (2) has at least one contact passageway (7, 8) having plug-in apertures (5, 6) at its two ends. Respective ends of male and female members arranged on cables can be arranged therein and produce a pluggable connection. The book (2) can be at least partially detachably fastened to the pluggable connection housing (1). In order to simplify construction and handling of pluggable connection housing (1) and boot (2) and, at the same time, to allow more ways of arranging the boot (2) relative to the pluggable connection housing (1), the boot (2) is substantially tubular and has a peripheral undercut at least in certain places in the peripheral direction at one plug-in end, which undercut engages with at least one undercut element (12) arrange in the plug-in aperture (5, 6) in the plugged-in position (13) of the plug-in end (9).

  • Patent number: 6709299
Abstract: A relay box having a carrier plate and a plug-in module is disclosed. A conductor to be switched is brought into electrical contact with a relay through the plug-in module and a plug contact arranged in the plug-in module. The relay is plugged both into the plug-in module and into the carrier plate of the relay box through plug contacts. Because of the modular arrangement, increased flexibility is possible when using a prefabricated carrier plate having terminal positions provided for a plurality of relays.

  • Patent number: 6679488
Abstract: The present invention relates to an armature spring (4) for a relay comprising a fastening section (3), a connected oblong spring section and a lever (7). The lever is located on the side of the longitudinal axis of the spring section opposite to that of the fastening section (3) so that the spring section is subject to torsional stress. Due to the torsional stress of the spring section, an even progression of the spring characteristic curve can be achieved. The stress is very even, so that the spring is very small and simple. In advantageous embodiments, the spring section extends parallel to the armature pivot axis and is formed by a torsion web (6). The lever section can be flexibly deformable. As a result the spring characteristic can be particularly easily and flexibly adjusted. As a result the spring armature can be combined with a magnet system exhibiting opening angles of 10° to 15°.

  • Patent number: 6679735
Abstract: The invention relates to an electrical pin contact, (1, 32, 56), having a connecting part (2) and a connector tongue (4) together with a locking part (3, 33, 57). A separate locking spring (14, 34, 58), is provided which is inserted into the locking part (3, 33, 57) perpendicularly to the longitudinal axis of the contact (1, 32, 56). Particularly simple mounting of the locking spring (14, 34, 48) is achieved in that the latter has latching means, which fix the locking spring (14, 34, 58) in position in the locking part (3, 33, 57) through insertion of the locking spring into the locking part (3, 33, 57).

  • Patent number: 6672910
Abstract: A contact having a contact spring, a contact positioner, and a locking element. The contact spring having resilient contacts. The contact positioner receives the contact spring for connection to an electrical conductor. The locking element has a guide face with a locking side that maintains the contact in a housing. A cover covers the locking side to form a closed surface. A guide plate is integrally formed with cover and covers the lateral side of the guide face to form a closed surface. The cover and guide plate enlarge a seal opening of the housing to prevent the seal from damage by the locking element when the contact is inserted and withdrawn from the housing.

  • Patent number: 6674348
Abstract: A switch relay with a switching status display is described, in which a display element is in operative connection with a switch contact of the switch relay and displays the switch positions in a clearly recognizable manner. The display element enlarges the display stroke so that contact movement is more readily visible. The principle is based on the elongation of a pointer of the flexing line of, for example, a constructed film hinge. As a result of the display element being constructed as a synthetic part low in mass, the contact dynamics are reduced by only a small extent.

  • Patent number: 6568955
Abstract: The present invention relates to an electrical connector which at least partially receives a foil with printed conductors embedded therein, and comprises an insulating housing with an insertion aperture for the foil and at least one foil contact with a contact section for contacting the printed conductors. The foil contact has a connection section for connection to an electric component and an actuating zone to receive mechanical pressure. To ensure reliable contacting and inexpensive production and simplified assembly of the components, the foil contact is bent as one piece from a punched spring sheet and has at its first contact arm an end section which is bent approximately to a U-shape, which can be brought into contact with the two contact arms by mechanical pressure. According to the invention, the connector also comprises an actuator to actuate this foil contact in which retaining webs are integrally formed which penetrate the foil when the actuator is closed.

  • Patent number: 6424244
Abstract: The invention relates to a magnetic switch having a yoke which has the shape of a rotationally symmetrical cup on the base of which is arranged a permanent magnet. The flux of the permanent magnet is conducted via a core, which has a radial core flange, to the plate-shaped armature. For the operational air gap effective between the armature and the core and the yoke and the magnetic resistance WA thereof, the following relation applies in relation to the marginal air gap formed between the core flange and the yoke: WA<WR. As a result of the rotational symmetry with a yoke having the shape of a cup, it is possible to generate a high holding force for the armature with a small structural volume.
