Abstract: A connector assembly comprising: a first connector having a housing on which an elastic locking piece is suspended; a second connector having a housing on which a locking member mating with the elastic locking piece is formed so as to lock the first and second connectors together when the first and second connectors are mated together; and a connector position assurance device having a first stopper and a second stopper behind the first stopper. A first mating stopper is formed on the elastic locking piece, and a second mating stopper is formed on the housing of the first connector. The connector position assurance device only can be inserted into a first position under the elastic locking piece of the first connector when the first and second connectors are separate from each other.
Abstract: A receptacle assembly includes a contact module having a conductive holder and a frame assembly received in the conductive holder. The frame assembly includes a first frame and a second frame, each frame having at least two frame members each supporting a differential pair of receptacle signal contacts and being separated by a gap. The first and second frames are interested such that at least one frame member of the first frame is received in a corresponding gap of the second frame between frame members of the second frame and such that at least one frame member of the second frame is received in a corresponding gap of the first frame between frame members of the first frame.

Abstract: A connector shell includes a frame, a dividing wall and a plurality of connector inserts. The frame surrounds a periphery of the shell. The dividing wall is homogeneously formed with the frame and separates a plurality of recesses. The connector inserts are homogeneously formed with the frame and the dividing wall. The inserts are disposed with one or more of the recesses. Each insert includes a body and a plurality of cavities. Each body is configured to hold a plurality of contacts that protrude from each of a mating and a loading side. The contacts are configured to be mounted to a circuit board in a location proximate to the loading side and to mate with a plurality of other electrical connectors in a location proximate to the mating side.

Abstract: An array of thin metallic foil strips of predetermined thickness electrically connected to a printed circuit board, cables or attached to wires. An associated power source, on the printed circuit board, or attached to the circuit board, cables or wires, directs an electrical current through L-shaped contacts to one or more of the strips in the array of foil strips. The foil strips are in contact with horizontal legs of the L-shaped contacts. Depending upon the use of the circuit board, the foil strips can be used to start or to end an operation. The selection of the foil strip makes use of the electrical properties of the selected metal such as its resistivity as well as the thickness, length and width of the foil strips to provide a strip with characteristics required to achieve a preselected result. As an electric current is provided by a power source, it passes through one or more foil strips.
