Abstract: An apparatus to receive a filament material and to move the filament while guiding a direction of movement of the filament comprising: a metal block that defines a first guide passage sized to receive the filament; wherein the block includes a first plate that includes a first surface that defines a first groove and includes a second plate that includes a second surface that defines a second groove; and wherein the first and second faces of the first and second plates are in abutting contact with the first and second grooves aligned to define the first guide passage; a drive mechanism configured to move the filament into the first guide passage.
