A digital predistortion update unit is adapted to update the digital predistortions in order to linearise a transfer characteristics of the transmit paths according to a hierarchy of the transmit paths.     Abstract: A filtering device comprises an analogue quadrature splitter together with a first filtering element and a second filtering element. The filtering device is adapted to transform filtering characteristics of the first filtering element and filtering characteristics of the second filtering element into an effective filtering characteristic present in an output signal at an output terminal of the analogue quadrature splitter. The first filtering element and the second filtering element comprise filtering elements of high accuracy, with a steep roll-off but poor power handling capabilities. Using a high power quadrature splitter it is possible to transform the filtering characteristics of the first filtering element and/or the second filtering characteristic of the second filtering element into the effective filtering characteristics.

The feedback signal contains both amplitude information and phase information.     Abstract: The present disclosure teaches a calibration system, a calibration apparatus and a method for calibrating a signal path and a method for calibrating a delay. The calibration system comprises an injector, a calibration signal generator, a correlator, a detector unit, a polygon former and a pattern classifier unit. The calibration system is adapted to calculate a fraction of a delay from a set of polygons. The delay is being accumulated along a signal path. The fraction of the delay is indicative of an accuracy of the delay at a fine sampling rate as if the delay was measured at the fine sampling rate being an integer multiple of the coarse sampling rate. The method for calibrating of the signal path uses a calibration signal sampled at a coarse sampling rate. Correlation techniques are used in order to detect a fraction of the delay from a set of polygons.

    Abstract: The present disclosure provides a duplexer for separating a transmit signal and a receive signal. The duplexer comprises a transmit filter, a receive filter and an analogue quadrature splitter, a first filtering element and a second filtering element. By choosing the first filtering element and the second filtering element substantially identical, it is possible to transform filtering characteristics of the first and second filtering element such that stop bands are substantially transformed into an effective pass band, and vice versa. The analogue quadrature splitter is adapted to increase an attenuation of the transmit signals outside the transmit band, such as in the receive band. Therefore out-of-band emissions by the transmitter will be substantially reduced. The present disclosure further provides a method for separating a transmit signal and a receive signal, and computer program products for the manufacture for carrying out the method of separating transmit signals and receive signals.
