Abstract: An adapter configured to convert a rotary motion of a drive shaft for a door lock actuating mechanism into a translational motion for actuating a door latch. The adapter includes a housing with a compartment and a first lever inside the compartment, enables retrofitting of US-style doors with a European style door handle by providing a first bearing that rotatably supports the first lever relative to the housing, wherein the first bearing has a first axis of rotation, wherein the housing has a channel, the channel has a first opening facing the lever and a second opening facing away from the lever, wherein a first channel axis extends through the centers of the first and second openings. The first lever has a hole, configured for receiving the drive shaft, wherein the longitudinal axis of the drive shaft correlates with the first axis of rotation. The first lever further has first coupling means for providing a torque proof coupling with the drive shaft.

Abstract: A latch module for selectively engaging into a striking plate of door jamb, including at least a housing, a latch bolt, a guard bolt, and a stem for retracting the latch bolt is particularly versatile, safe and has low manufacturing costs, if the stem is movably supported relative to the latch bolt and if the stem has a block for entraining the latch bolt, if the stem reaches a first intermediate position while being moved from the stem's closed position towards the stem's open position.

Abstract: A door handle for actuating a mortise lock of a door with an output shaft and a handle facing away from the door. The output shaft and the handle have a common rotation axis and are connected to one another via an electromechanical clutch. The output shaft has a recess, on the side facing the handle, dimensioned for a coupling element that is axially displaceable between open and closed positions with a motor, while the handle has a receptacle dimensioned to accommodate the coupling element opposite to the recess. The door handle is particularly reliable when the motor drives a coupling (auxiliary) shaft on which and/or in which at least one coil spring is disposed non-rotatably and coaxially with respect to the stator of the motor. The auxiliary shaft has at least one protrusion engaging in an intermediate space between two neighbored windings of the coil spring to displace the coil spring axially as a result of rotation of the auxiliary shaft.
